Sea Guardians
A day at sea, behind the scenes of a film about Andalusia´s cetaceans.
Hoy hemos tenido suerte.
🇬🇧 Bringing science and marine conservation to the screen.
During one of our final trips at sea this year, CIRCE (Conservación, Información y Estudio sobre cetáceos) had the opportunity to join the production team working on a documentary about cetaceans in Andalusia for France 5, the French public television channel.
It was a valuable opportunity to share our field experience and contribute to a production that will bring the diversity of cetaceans inhabiting our waters closer to the public, while highlighting the challenges involved in their conservation.
Scientific research does not end with collecting data at sea. Sharing knowledge, raising awareness and making scientific information accessible are also important parts of marine conservation.
We would like to thank France 5, Loro Parque Fundación and the entire filming crew for the invitation and for giving CIRCE the opportunity to contribute its scientific experience to this production.
We are delighted to be part of this initiative and to help bring the story of Andalusia’s cetaceans to wider audiences.
