Fashion Evolution towards Sustainability

24/11/2025

🎉 The Refashionized project has officially come to an end — and what a journey it has been!
Through this project, we trained and inspired young people, youth workers, educators, and creative professionals to explore fashion history 👗, understand the life cycle of a garment ♻️, reflect on the impact of fast fashion on the environment 🌍 and workers’ rights ✊, and embrace sustainable fashion practices 🌱. From conscious consumption to hands-on upcycling 🧵, participants gained practical skills for everyday life.

📚 Trainer’s Corner: booklets, toolkits & glossaries for educators and facilitators
🎮 Learner’s Corner: interactive courses, games & tutorials for learners

Refashionized may be closing as a project, but its impact is only beginning ✨💚

🌟 Final Online Partner Meeting — A Creative Journey Comes to an End! 🌟

At the end of September, the consortium met online for the final partner meeting of the project — a moment to reflect on everything we achieved together, and celebrate the project's impact on our target groups, our organisations, and stakeholders.

We reviewed our final results, the quality of our cooperation, the project’s impact on our target groups, and the strategies that will help sustain and build on our work long after the project officially ends.

We would like to thank all our partners for their hard work and dedication throughout this journey.

Although this marks the end of the project, the tools, resources, and inspiration we created together will continue to grow and make a lasting impact.

And remember..." fashion is a choice — make it a sustainable one! "

🍂 REFASHIONIZED wore its autumn clothes and travelled once again to Greece , this time to Thessaloniki! 🇬🇷✨
On September 10th, CATWALK hosted the REFASHIONIZED Piloting Workshop, bringing together young creatives aged 15–30 to explore how fashion can become more sustainable, inclusive, and inspiring. 💚

✨ As part of the Spanish National Event of the ReFashionized project at UPV, we had the pleasure of welcoming Aitana Senabre, R&D Project Manager at , who presented the European project PROPLANET.

🧪 PROPLANET aims to develop safe and sustainable coatings for the textile, food packaging, and glass sectors, offering real alternatives to PFAS-based coatings through environmentally friendly solutions.

🌍 The project focuses on circularity, using biopolymers and innovative technologies to create multifunctional coatings that are safe, efficient, and recyclable.

🗣️ As an expert in the field, Aitana shared her insights on the current state of the textile industry, and she also gave us her perspective on the ReFashionized project.

🌿✨ Fashion Meets Sustainability at Hecht ! ✨🌿

During the cultural and musical Hecht festival, Doreen Siegmund showcased the Refashionized project and its innovative resources. We engaged with our local community to promote a fresh approach to sustainability through fashion.
A quiz on the fashion industry’s impact sparked reflections on climate change, resource use, pollution, and waste 🌍♻️ — it was great to see participants of all ages already well-informed!

The session explored fashion as a tool for social change, its historical influence, and we navigated the online course step by step together.
The highlight? The Sustainable Fashion Game! 🎮🧵 Friendly competition kept everyone engaged, and the first three to finish won JKPeV T-shirts 👕.
