How do I support clients in trusting their own process?

Taking a page out of The Good Hypnotherapist by Sanela Čović, healing isn't about revisiting the past for the sake of it. It's about understanding the parts of ourselves that were shaped there, so they no longer have to lead our lives today.

As John Bradshaw reminds us:

"Three things are strong for inner child work. The speed at which people change when they do this work; the depth of that change; and the power and creativity that result when wounds from the past are healed."

This is also a central thread in Sanela’s book. She reminds us that the child within us never disappears. It simply adapts, developing ways of surviving that once kept us safe but may now limit how we love, trust, create, and connect. Healing begins when those younger parts are finally seen, heard, and held with compassion.

At Nai Do Transpersonal Academy, inner child work forms an important part of our transpersonal training. Because lasting transformation doesn't come from learning techniques alone; it comes from meeting ourselves with honesty, courage, and care.

The deepest healing often begins with the youngest parts of us.
