Dear community, or what is left from it.

We tried a lot to get the fablab club working.

Our best supporter was Lorenz Hubfauf.
He gave us the opportunity to start the project in his rooms im puerto colon without any financial interest for almost a Year.

That was a very nice move. - thank you Lorenz!

We did a lot but it wasn’t enough.
We were struggling in finding engaged persons who helped us in a constructive way.

The bureaucracy and the way people where thinking and working brought it finally to its end.

We tried to do something constructive with the equipment and there was a short moment of hope when we suddenly did find a fablab on google maps on tenerife.

As it came out it was a public school in Guia de Isora. We contacted them and offerd to donate all our equipment to them.

Sadly they didn’t ever red the fablab charter and absolutely unbelievable: they were absolutely not interested. For us it was hard to understand but they never called us back or answerd any kind of email.
We would have danced 2 weeks in a circle if someone would have called us to donate all this high quality equipment 🤷🏼‍♂️

After 2 years of hoping, all the good stuff that gets needed on tenerife, is now on its way back to Europe.

That’s the story….. that’s how it has ended.

Maybe it will help to start some people thinking.

We like to thank all supporters!

Special thank to Silvio Müller and David Sonntag and all others we may forgot to thank!

Cheers we’re out 🙋‍♂️🙋🏼‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️

++++ Fablab Update ++++

From September the 1st, a member of team fablab is back on the island to continue the project.

We are looking for a publicly accessible place where people can learn from each other or implement their projects.

We need space for:

3D printing, handicrafts, a laser cutter to be purchased, as well as a CNC and an area to work on electronics.

You are welcome to support us. The search is island wide. There are no bans on thinking. Schools, universities, public buildings, private properties with public access.
Anny support, ideas or offers are welcome.

We are sorry that the fablab is closed at the moment.

Don’t worry! We will return soon.

We really like to thank Lorenz Hupfauf for letting us for a period of one Year staying in his not used shop in Puerto Colon while pandemic.

Without his support this project would have been impossible to get realized.

All Fablab things are on stock and have to wait until August/September when we all have done some private stuff on the Continent.

In emergency 3D printing situations you can ask a friend in Puerto de la Cruz.

He was so friendly to set up our printer and he can give you access to it.

Thank you

The Fablab Team.
