ES: Hoy nos hemos tenido que despedir de Fernando Villar. Patrón, jefe de guardia, segundo, contramaestre, marinero, cocinero, manitas, maestro, contador de historias, colega, amigo, hermano. Hacía atractivo salir a navegar un día infernal de invierno, tenía una habilidad especial para tratar con aprendices de cualquier edad, y aplicaba una lógica aparentemente sencilla inspirada en situaciones de la vida. Te echaremos mucho de menos.
EN: Today we had to say goodbye to Fernando Villar. Skipper, watch leader, mate, bosun,, deckhand, cook, handyman, coach, storyteller, buddy, friend, brother. He made it attractive to sail on a hellish winter day, had a special ability to work with trainees of any age, and applied a seemingly simple logic inspired by life situations. We’ll miss you so much

ES: Días de actividad intensa y trabajo muy discreto y poco visible para que TOFO estuviera perfecto y cómodo para los barcos, capitanes y tripulantes. Parada naval llevó a miles de personas al paseo marítimo que bordea la ciudad, espectacular como siempre. Y qué decir del impecable trabajo de nuestros oficiales de enlace, claves para el éxito del evento.
EN: Very intense days of activities and work discreet and little visible so that EVERYTHING was perfect and comfortable for boats, captains and crew. The Parade of Sail took thousands of people to the promenade that borders the city, spectacular as always.And what about the impecable work of our liaison officers, Keys to the sucesos of the event.

ES: Desde la tarde del miércoles 23 hasta el mediodía del domingo 27 A Coruña acogió a los veleros participantes en la Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano. Además de los 12 barcos, pudimos acoger en el mismo espacio, todos juntos, a cuatro invitados especiales: los veleros NRP Polar y NRP Zarco de la Marina portuguesa y, representando a la Armada española, el velero A 80 Nautilus y el patrullero P 74 Atalaya.
EN: From the afternoon of Wednesday 23 to noon on Sunday 27 of last August, A Coruña hosted the participating sailboats in the Tall Ships Races Magellan -Elcano. In addition to the 12 ships, we were able to host in the same space , allí togerher- four special guests: the sailing boats NRP Polar and NRP Zarco, of the Portuguese Navy, and representing the Spanish Navy, the sailing ship A 80 Nautilus, and the patrol boat P74 Atalaya.

ES: A lo largo de la tarde de ayer fueron llegando nuestros invitados. No todos pudieron ser fotografiados. Tomemos como ejemplo el bergantín redondo polaco Fryderyk Chopin, el bergantín-goleta Atyla, con base en Bilbao, o nuestra querida carabela Veracruz, cargada de amigos de APORVELA.
EN: Throughout yesterday afternoon our guests were arriving. Not all could be photographed. Take, for example, the Polish brig Fryderyk Chopin, the Bilbao-based schooner Atyla, or our beloved caravel Veracruz, loaded with friends of APORVELA.

ES: La goleta áurica NRP Polar, de la Armada portuguesa, se une hoy con el NRP Zarco a las celebraciones en A Coruña con motivo de la Regata The Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano. Estamos muy agradecidos por su compañía y confiamos en que disfruten su estancia en nuestra ciudad.
EN: The auric schooner NRP Polar, of the Portuguese Navy, joins today with the NRP Zarco to the celebrations in A Coruña on the occasion of the Regatta The Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano. We are very grateful for their company, and hope they enjoy their stay in our city.

ES: Tras haber tenido que posponer la salida de la etapa Falmouth -A Coruña por los fuertes vientos del Sur, los veleros participantes en la Tall Ships'Races Magellan-Elcano iniciaron su viaje, maniobrando continuamente buscá un viento que desapareció. En la foto, el queche Italiano Stella Polare es marcado de cerca por la goleta española Juan de Lángara .
EN: After having had to postpone the start of the leg Falmouth - A Coruña by the strong wind of the South, the sailing boats participating in the Tall Ships'Races Magellan-Elcano began their journey, maneuvering continuously to look for a wind that disappeared. ES: Entre los días 15 y 18 de agosto los veleros participantes en la Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano se reunieron en el puerto de Falmouth antes de iniciar la regata. Días de encuentro con viejos amigos y descubrimiento de otros nuevos .
