استخدام قاعدة There is بسيط جداً؛ فنحن نستخدمها للإشارة إلى وجود شيء واحد (مفرد) أو شيء غير معدود.

أولاً: جمل مثبتة (Affirmative)
* There is a pen on the table. (يوجد قلم على الطاولة)
* There is a big tree in the garden. (توجد شجرة كبيرة في الحديقة)

إن إنشاء جمل بسيطة باللغة الإنجليزية يتبع نمطاً ثابتاً يسهل عليك حفظه واستخدامه. القاعدة التي سنتبعها هنا هي:
Subject (الفاعل) + Verb (الفعل) + Preposition (حرف الجر) + Place (المكان).
