We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Expert to join our team in Muscat, Oman, supporting the development and implementation of robust enterprise data governance practices.

The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and enhancing data governance frameworks, policies, standards, data quality, metadata management, privacy, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Establish clear data ownership, stewardship, roles, and responsibilities across business functions.
• Ensure alignment with relevant data protection, privacy, and governance requirements, including PDPL, NDMO, and SDAIA frameworks.
• Monitor data quality indicators and coordinate remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain metadata, data classification, and data lineage practices using appropriate governance tools.
• Support Master Data Management (MDM) and enterprise data management initiatives.
• Support privacy and data protection activities, including ROPA and DPIA requirements.
• Participate in data governance audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Promote a strong data governance culture through stakeholder engagement, training, and awareness initiatives.
