Salat And Salam Upon The Messenger When He Is Mentioned

Shaykh AbdulMuhsin al-Abbad al-Badr said:

❝Two concise forms of sending Salat And Salam upon the Prophet [ﷺ].

The Salaf As-Salih come close to the Prophet [ﷺ], including the Muhadithhoon [Scholars of Hadeeth] with the remembrance of sending Salat and Salam upon the Messenger [ﷺ] when he is mentioned, by using two concise forms:

One of which is: ‘SallAllaahu Alayhi Wa Salam.’

The second is: ‘Alayhi As-Salaat Wa As-Salaam.’

The books of Hadeeth are full of these two forms – and all praise belongs to Allaah – to the degree that the Muhadithhoon [Scholars of Hadeeth] have inscribed in their works the advice of preserving and making absolutely sure that it is written completely mentioning both Salat and Tasleem upon him [ﷺ].❞

-- عن جابر بن عبدالله رضي الله عنهما قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ( أفضل أيام الدنيا أيام العشر ) رواه البزار والحديث صحيح The hadith says:

“The best days of this world are the ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah).”
Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah from Prophet Muhammad. Reported by Al-Bazzar.

Meaning of the Hadith

The “ten days” refers to the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar. These days are considered the most blessed days of the year in Islam.

They are special because many important acts of worship happen during them:

* Hajj (pilgrimage) takes place in these days.
* The Day of Arafah (9th Dhul-Hijjah) is one of the holiest days.
* Eid al-Adha is on the 10th day.
* Muslims increase:
* prayer,
* fasting,
* charity,
* remembrance of Allah (dhikr),
* reading Qur’an,
* and good deeds.

Why are they called “the best days”?

The Prophet ﷺ taught that good deeds done during these ten days are more beloved to Allah than deeds done at other times of the year.

So Muslims try to use these days for worship and spiritual improvement.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that the best days in the whole year are the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Muslims should do extra worship and good deeds during these days because they are very blessed and rewarded greatly by Allah.

Аллах говорит в Коране:

"إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا"

«Воистину, Аллах и Его ангелы благословляют Пророка. О те, которые уверовали! Благословляйте его и приветствуйте миром» (33:56)

Посланник Аллаха, да благословит его Аллах и приветствует, сказал:

« ‏مَنْ صَلَّى عَليَّ صَلاةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْراً‏»

«Того, кто (один раз) призовёт на меня благословение, Аллах благословит за это десять (раз)» (муслим 384)

“The supplication he (peace be upon him) recited most often during the last ten nights was:
‘O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive us.’”
