[Basic Clinical Skill]

ATTENTION. THERE IS A BIG CHANGE.

due to some condition, the Skill Lab have to change the date of the workshop. so, instead of 10-12th Dec, our workshop will be held from 15, 16, 17, 18 Dec 2014.

hence, WE EXTEND THE REGISTRATION until this Saturday, 6th Dec 2014.

anyone need to cancel their participation can contact us anytime before Saturday.

for the schedule of each course, the Skill Lab hasn't yet give us the actual schedule because they need your names and number first. but roughly, each course will start from 2 p.m. for each day. most courses will take up at most 2 hours. so the courses will not consume your academic schedule in the university.

Hi, assalamualaikum everyone!

Come and join the Basic Clinical Skill workshop, organized by the Skill Lab of our university. It consists of basic skill training that will be necessary in our clinical field. This course is Mansoura Uni. accredited and you'll get your certificate!

2. Wound Dressing and Surgical Stitches (LE 50)
- types of surgical sutures and material

3. Basic Injection Courses (LE 75)
- ABG sample
- IM, SC, ID injection
- insertion of IV cannula
- IV sample and injection

4. Advanced Injection Course (LE 120)
- IM, SC, ID injection
- central venous catheter insertion

- ABG sample

5. Basic Airway Course (LE 25)
- simple maneuvers and adjuncts
- suction and BVM use
- LMA insertion

6. Advanced Airway Course (LE 75)

9. ECG and electrotherapy course (LE 100)
- how to read ECG

10. ABG (arterial blood gases) Interpretation (LE 25)
- how to read ABG
- how to manage different cases with abnormal ABG

[ Internal Medicine Department Night Round ]

Last saturday, our friends got to see acromegaly patient, diabetic patient, cushing patient and also chronic liver disease patient.

They also get to apply the skills to interpret ABG result, CBC result, CXR and also CT scan of the brain from previous workshop! Congratulations to our friends for their hardwork!

Plus, they learn a new thing which is " How to examine the diabetic foot" . So, lets join us for next saturday, 8 p.m at internal medicine and chest department . See u there!
