They expected a pod of 60-70 , as reported in the press, but ended up slaughtering at least 270. Being off by 200 shows they were unprepared for such numbers.

They didn’t need that many, but once the killing begins, stopping would mean admitting a mistake. The pod was first sighted at 14:30 now it’s 20:30, after a long, messy, and chaotic hunt that was entirely avoidable.

And for what? This meat isn’t even needed.

Official Faroese figures show a large portion will never be consumed, left to rot at sea. This isn’t about survival, it’s about proving they can do it, and that no one can stop them. But we will not rest until this ends for good.
