We're pleased to announce our collaboration with the Muscat Endoscopy Academy for the first course in our MEA series: a complete Upper Endoscopy Basics & GI Bleeding Control Workshop — combining scientific lectures, live patient case observation, and hands-on practice.
Every second counts when a patient is bleeding — this program is designed to take participants from theory to the bedside. Over two days, you'll:
📚 Attend expert-led lectures on upper GI endoscopy and bleeding management
👁️ Observe live patient cases with real-time discussion and decision-making
🖐️ Practice hands-on: diagnostic EGD, hemostasis techniques, and variceal band ligation
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
✅ Perform a complete diagnostic EGD with systematic mucosal inspection
✅ Identify common upper GI pathologies and apply standardized reporting
✅ Execute basic hemostasis techniques — injection, thermal, and mechanical
✅ Manage esophageal variceal bleeding with band ligation
