لا يزال اسم مصر (تامري) محل جدل، إذ شكك كثير من العلماء في قراءتها الشائعة “الأرض الحبيبة”. اقترح جيمس ألين قراءتها “أرض القناة”. واقترح تيموفي شماكوف قراءتها أرض مزهرة

tA-mri (ta mere) “canal-land” or “Flowery/Blossomy Land”
The name of Egypt tA-mri still a matter of debate, a lot of scholars had doubts about the common reading of it as “Beloved Land”, James Allen suggested the reading “canal-land”. Timofey Shmakov suggested “Flowery Land”.

Nekhbet - نخبت

The vulture goddess of Upper Egypt, Nekhbet was portrayed with wings spread and holding the SHEN sign of protection in her talons. Nekhbet is first mentioned in the Pyramid Texts as a traditional mother goddess. Later, Nekhbet became the vulture goddess favored by the early southern kings. Nekhbet, along with Wadjet, the cobra goddess of the north, was one of the “two mighty ones,” representing the unification of Egypt. The vulture and cobra heads sometimes appear side by side on the kings’ crown as symbols for the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt.

and means a thick, straight wooden stick.
