👨‍🏫 Meet the Speaker | NILES 2026

We are honored to welcome Prof. Hironori Washizaki, Professor and Associate Dean of the Research Promotion Division at Waseda University, Japan, as a keynote speaker at NILES 2026.

Prof. Washizaki is an internationally recognized leader in software engineering, AI engineering, and software standards. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan, and works closely with industry to bridge academic research and real-world innovation.

A former President of the IEEE Computer Society, Prof. Washizaki has played a leading role in shaping global software engineering standards, including co-chairing the IEEE SWEBOK initiative and contributing to ISO/IEC international standardization. His distinguished career has been recognized with numerous awards, including the IEEE Computer Society Computer Best Paper Award and the Spirit of the CS Award.

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Ahmed Rachid, Professor at the University of Picardie Jules Verne, France, as a keynote speaker at NILES 2026.

Prof. Rachid is a leading researcher in control engineering, modeling, simulation, diagnostics, and cyber-physical systems. He founded the University's first Laboratory for Automatic Systems and is also the founder of Remotlab, an innovative platform for remote experimentation and digital twin technologies supporting engineering education and research.

With more than 170 scientific publications, over 30 Ph.D. graduates supervised, and extensive leadership of European R&D projects, Prof. Rachid has made significant contributions to advancing intelligent engineering systems and modern laboratory technologies.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Suhas Kumar as a keynote speaker at NILES 2026.
Dr. Kumar is an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Head of Research at Rain AI, United States. His research focuses on building brain-inspired electronics that significantly reduce AI's energy consumption while advancing the next generation of intelligent computing systems.

He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, previously led research groups in the semiconductor industry and U.S. national laboratories, contributed to the growth of two startups, and has authored more than 100 scientific publications while holding over 50 patents.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Ahmed Ammar, Researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), as a keynote speaker at NILES 2026.
