Instagram vs TikTok in 2021!
** The most important news this week was about the popular photo app Instagram, which is currently in a rugged area full of challenges because of its rival TikTok.
We all know that Instagram is the biggest startup in the world of short pictures and videos, but after TikTok, Snapchat and others, the situation changed and declined a lot.
Throughout 2021, we saw that Instagram copied almost everything that TikTok offered, and even after the statements of Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri, expected the same thing to happen in 2022, where his recent statements confirmed that the next focus would be on Videos & Control, he also confirmed that Reels would remain the main focus they would focus on, with constant confirmation, "Transparency" where they will always provide information and data on how Instagram works to obtain the best results.
On the other hand, with the great developments, developments and achievements of TikTok, the pressure on Instagram is growing and will continue to try to catch up, even though it's an idea. "Imitation" and the idea of "reaction only" may cause future problems for Instagram, but Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg pointed out last June that Reels was and remains the largest contributor to increased interaction in all accounts due to customers switching to speed, delivery, and love for short videos.
This year has gone through intense rivalry between Instagram and TikTok, as Instagram's HQ continues to replicate TikTok's core features hoping to bring seasonal delight to Meta, through improved usage statistics and new participation figures showing that Instagram is still great, and still the leading statute in their eyes and the de factor leader Platform ever.
Actually it's not, as the reported usage demonstrated the reverse thus Instagram among the younger audience is decreasing unlike TikTok usage, which upsets Meta’s chiefs.
Here are Some of the many ways that Instagram has sought to hinder the growth of TikTok over the past 12 months by repeating and imitating its features and launching features to reduce using TikTok reels on Instagram platform.
1- Insta my true love to be a “Vertical Feed” as you can swipe up and down to browse stories replicated from TikTok.
2- Insta launched “restricted reach for re-posted” TikToks reels!
3- Insta launched “New Remix Option” you can share a reel on Instagram and at the same time you can create a video!
4- Insta imitated feature new music-focused creator tools with "Superbeat" which adds effects to a video.
5- "Add Yours" sticker It enables users to ask others to respond to the content of their stories, in order to create more engagement on their stories, which sounds similar to TikTok’s Duet feature.
6- Insta adds “Text to speech effects” which Provides artificial audio to read any textual combinations you add to your clips as lyrics with voice over.
7- “Longer clips in Stories” launched Insta a 60-second live test of videos in Stories instead of 15 second.
8- “ Auto-sync for music” typically like automatic sync option for TikTok, which enables users to synchronize uploaded videos with any music track they want to add.
9- Instagram has officially launched a feature “Reels replies in comments” to increase more engagement on user’s content.
10- “Audio Tab for reel clips” to search for sound specifically in the search tab in the application, making it easier to take advantage of trends based on music passages, with a focus on creating reels accordingly, and with this option you can save the Audio.
11- “live-stream shopping” as a live stream Holiday events, free shipping on purchases to increase conversion for e-commerce.
12- New ‘Collabs’ option you can share same content with friend as collaboration on feed post.
Is that a good thing? Will Instagram help slow down the momentum of TikTok?
We think it's interesting to know whether the constant Instagram rush into likeness to TikTok is life for him or is more like losing the ability to breathe to death.
