Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University Concludes the Official Summer School at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB)
As part of the academic cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Faculty successfully concluded its two-week official Summer School, bringing together 18 students from different academic departments and study levels.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in an intensive academic experience that combined theoretical knowledge with practical training. The Summer School focused on the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and Media, as well as emerging digital media formats, equipping students with advanced knowledge and hands-on skills aligned with the evolving media landscape. The program concluded with students developing and presenting innovative final projects that reflected the knowledge and expertise they acquired during the training.
In addition to the academic sessions, students participated in educational field visits to the Congress of Journalists of Catalunya and RTVE (Spanish Radio and Television Corporation), where they gained valuable insights into Spain's media ecosystem, journalism practices, and broadcasting industry.
The Summer School was held under the auspices of Prof. Wessam Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, and under the academic supervision of Dr. Norhan Hesham, Assistant Professor at the Journalism and Digital Media Department, and Dr. Amany Ezzat, Assistant Professor at the Radio and Television Department.
The program was organized by (MICR) under the coordination of Dr. Alaa Fawzy Abdellatef, the director of MCIR.
