We are incredibly proud of our students who represented Manaret Heliopolis International School at the World Scholar’s Cup at CAC! 🦙✨
A total of 38 students took part in this outstanding academic competition, after weeks of dedicated preparation in debate, writing, and critical thinking, competing alongside students from schools across Cairo.
Their hard work and perseverance truly paid off, as they achieved an impressive 66 Gold medals, 72 Silver medals, and a trophy-winning achievement, reflecting their excellence, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition.
Beyond the awards, our scholars demonstrated confidence, collaboration, and resilience, while building new friendships, strengthening their skills, and creating unforgettable memories.

We are incredibly proud of PYP 7 explorers as they journeyed through their inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme “Where We Are in Place and Time” 🌍✨
Through this unit, students inquired into the motives behind human exploration across time, the conditions explorers faced, and the impact of their explorations. By making meaningful connections across subjects, concepts, and cultures, they deepened their understanding of how exploration has shaped our world.
Students creatively showcased their learning through presentations, mime, and drama performances, confidently demonstrating their communication, thinking, and social skills.

We are delighted to invite our school community to attend the upcoming Speak & Win Event, a celebration of student innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking.
During this exciting event, our students will present their projects in front of a panel of investors, showcasing their ideas, confidence, and communication skills. These projects were inspired by their recent trip to Turkey, where students explored and analyzed the Turkish market as part of the Business for Teens workshop, transforming their learning into real-world entrepreneurial ideas.
The event will also feature special speeches by Salah Abo Almagd and Nadeem Barakat, who will share their insights and experiences, adding great value to the day.
We warmly encourage all parents, staff, and members of our community to join us in supporting and celebrating our students’ achievements.

A lesson you can actually shop for!
As part of their inquiry into profit organizations and creating shopping lists in German classes, PYP 5 students designed their own lists of favorite healthy foods and visited Soudi Market to shop for them, while inquiring into systems in the market and how they work together to meet people’s needs.

As part of their inquiry into nonprofit organizations—their role in addressing local and global challenges, and our responsibility to support them—PYP 5 students organized a charity sale to raise funds. They then voted on a nonprofit organization to support, and we are proud to celebrate their achievement in donating to Al Nas Hospital.
