Zhang Zhuang Qigong and the reptilian brain.
Every human being has a pineal gland, the reptilian brain. is responsible for our survival in the world.
The reptilian brain area is one of the most important areas for qigong.
In qigong it is used to help us enter the reptilian brain where we are in survival or reflex mode, allowing the body to heal itself or help us heal others and survive.
There is a good indicator of whether you are performing your qigong correctly and this is related to the reptilian brain.
In the Zhang Zhuang exercise, people make a common mistake.
It is placing weight on the pads of the feet directly on the Kidney One (Yongquan) point
This is the most destructive thing you can do
Not many "masters" realize that KD1 is not the activation point for KD -1.
It is the heel area that activates this point.
Therefore, when we place weight on point KD 1, it actually stops the flow of Qi energy into the body. It builds up to the point where it penetrates in strong bursts that reach right into the reptilian brain, damaging it!
This is why many people experience violent shaking and body movement when standing in a basic qigong stance.
Many "masters" say it is powerful, but they are wrong. The weight should be placed on the heels, thus leaving the KD 1 point free from all tension and pressure.
Energy should circulate freely through this point. Do not close the well, quick source
By realizing the Reptile Brain, we also activate and assist the pineal gland, which is also responsible for our perception of nature, and things around us, and our place on the planet.
So while many people do qigong just to become more relaxed, they don't know that this "simple" exercise is one of the most beneficial that anyone can do to improve the functioning of the Reptile Brain, and therefore improve the functioning of the whole body.
