Building on the momentum of COP30, the focus now shifts to on-the-ground action that truly shapes our climate future.

Mangroves stand at the frontline of climate resilience - protecting coastlines, supporting biodiversity, and storing carbon at remarkable rates, making them one of nature’s most powerful climate guardians.

For the past five years, CARES has been driving change through its Mangrove Ecosystem Restoration Solution (MERS) project, restoring and expanding these vital ecosystems while empowering local communities with nature-based solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.

Adopt a Plot project at The Center for Applied Research on the Environment and Sustainability (CARES) is back! Whether you're a seasoned green expert or just starting your gardening journey, this is your chance to grow your own vegetables right here on AUC’s New Cairo campus. 🥕🥬

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮?
Eligibility: AUC students, faculty, and staff and their families are welcome to register, especially the little ones!
Plot: Each plot is 40m², perfect for 2-4 participants.
Expert Support: CARES personnel and technicians will be on-site from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the planting season to guide you every step of the way.
Location: AUC New Cairo Campus, beside AP1 gate, behind the swimming pool.
Fees: 500 LE per plot (includes a refundable 100 LE deposit if you clean up after the harvest).
