تغليف الهرم الأصغر بالجرانيت ؟!
I can’t help but wonder WHY !? Even if the funding is coming from the Japanese partners what is the added value to this historical site, since the third pyramid wasn’t entirely cased during the reign of Menkawra himself to begin with ?! The beauty of the pyramids is not in how they look, but rather in their history and reasons behind building them .
It might be argued that this is done to increase tourism and even with that i totally disagree! as this is the farthest thing that would encourage tourism, there are other reasons why tourists stopped coming and other ways to make the visit to this important archaeological site a memorable one ..
Moreover and based on other similar projects that were undertaken else where this will ruin the original appearance of the pyramid rather add any value to it !
Please use the fund in doing something more important !

The Ancient Egyptians were known for their remarkable inventions and innovations that still have an impact on our lives today.. Did you know that among these inventions are Toothpastes, Toothbrushes and Breath Mints!!
The Ancient Egyptians were concerned about oral hygiene that they made a mixture of crushed eggshells, myrrh, rock salt, dried iris flowers, pepper and mint which they made into a fine paste with a bit of water, forming what developed into our modern toothpaste!
They even brushed their teeth using cleaning tools that date back to around 3500 BC. . They frayed the ends of twigs, which created bristles forming what is similar to our modern toothbrushes examples of these chew sticks were found in their tombs ..
They also combined aromic herbs, cloves, cinnamon, mint and honey which they boiled and shaped into pellets that they sucked or chewed for a fresher breath forming what we call today breath mints! How did they do it ?

A truly inspiring piece of Art exhibited at the Scottish National Museum, showing a private ushabty box representing its owner in adoration infront of God Osiris.
Despite the fact that it is non royal, it still retains its beautiful colors demonstrating the ancient Egyptian mastery of color creation that still stands the test of time ..
