Are you ready for another underwater mission🌊

“Teamwork makes the dream work.”✨

Please give a shout out to the Robotics (Vikings) Team and take a minute to read their story👇🏻

"Robotics Student Organization is an organization started in 2009 that aims to apply the science studied in college in real-life applications that helps engineers to be highly qualified to the market, especially at Helwan University.
One of these applications was the ROVs starting with the mate competition in 2014 with the aim of improving the technicality of engineers in the field of ROV and by 2017 a team from some of these students was founded aiming to lead this improvement, Robotics (Vikings)."

Here are a few reasons why the Robotics (Vikings) Team join UWRChallenges'20👇🏻

"Knowing that the ROV Challenge is the exploration of the sunken city of Thonis Heracleion, we felt like men on a mission to have this opportunity to help uncover our Egyptian history in Alexandria."

We wish them the best of luck!

We thank El Gouna School Official Page(EGIS) management for welcoming us and giving us the chance to show our vision and project to the students of the school who are going to be one day the future of the field.

Two of El Gouna School’s alumni, Ahmed Ayman and Yousef Hossam, Class of 2015, currently Engineering undergraduates at Helwan University, approached the school management on Thursday, 26/10 for support for their project in order to compete internationally in the field of Robotics. In the process, they proposed to come to school and give Coding, Programming or Robotics courses for our students in the summer (June 2018).

As part of the school’s College Readiness programme, these two alumni were asked to meet with Senior School students in the National Section to give a perspective of what they would have wished someone had told them while they were still in “Thanawiya Amma” - how important are the following: 1) having a goal, 2) going to school regularly, 3) working together/collaboration, 4) counting on oneself and their school teachers’ help instead of private lessons, etc.

We hope that our Secondary 1, 2 & 3 students were inspired by them as much as these two gentlemen have inspired the management to sponsor such initiative of competing abroad! EGIS students will always find their Alma Mater ready to back them up in their worthwhile endeavours and of course it is such a proud moment when teachers and former students re-unite once again as professionals!
