We consider the garden to be an extra supervised playroom available to the children throughout the day. Social skills......... are practised at snack and meal time, and whilst playing sharing or collaborative games. Good hygiene....... is encouraged through routine hand and face washing, teeth brushing and hair combing. Babies...........we accept from 3 months

Our babies have a daily routine and activities suited to their needs and stage of development. The baby playrooms are bright, cheerful rooms with great facilities and caring, fully-qualified staff to look after the children. The daily routine will depend on the stage of development of your child, but will involve play, outside activities, sleep/quiet time and feeding at mealtimes. If your child is under six months old and being breast fed, several options are available - the Nursery staff will be pleased to accommodate your specific requirements. Children in the toddlers group....

are encouraged to be independent, identifying their own bag and coat, gaining access to all corners and equipment, discovering paint, water, dough and in particular the great outdoors. At lunch time the children learn to feed themselves, discovering new tastes and textures. Good hygiene starts here as the children wash their hands before and after lunch and brush their teeth. They enjoy listening to stories with playroom staff and singing and dancing to nursery music. Everything at this stage is interesting and adult interaction is essential for learning about play and increasing their vocabulary.
