January 12th, 2025: A Celebration of 14 Extraordinary Years

Today, we honor 14 vibrant years of CCDC—a project that has flourished in countless shapes, colors, and forms. A cornerstone of Egypt’s cultural landscape, it continues to innovate and inspire, paving the way for more creativity wherever it exists.

MAAT | CCDC has been a trailblazer, reshaping the dance and cultural scene in Egypt and beyond. Over the years, countless projects and artists have flourished under its influence—growing, thriving, and giving back in beautiful and generous ways. To all of you who’ve been part of this journey: we see you, and we thank you 🙏❤️🙏.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also honor the space that has held so much over the years: sweat, tears, laughter, creativity, deep discussions, friendships, partnerships, collaborations, growth—and above all, endless movement and boundless dance.

With hearts full of gratitude, hope, and love, we thank every student, artist, collaborator, partner, audience member, friend, and family member who made this dream possible.

Join the "Flamenco Dance" a 1 day workshop with Mercedes Melchor at MAAT|CCDC.🤸‍♂️

“This workshop is designed for beginners in flamenco. We will work on the rhythms of Tangos Flamencos, which is a basic style or palo in flamenco. Tangos is closely in feeling as rumba flamenca as it is a very lively, animated and cheerful dance. During the workshop, we will focus on the basic placement of body, arms, hands and some of the footwork in order to be able to involve our bodies through the rhythms and percussion of this style, so that later on the students will be able to follow a choreography”

Kader Attou is a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director of the Accrorap Company. Kader Attou is one of the most outstanding representatives of hip-hop dance. With a humanist artistic approach and open to the world, merging influences and breaking down the barriers between genres, Kader Attou has contributed to the transformation of hip-hop into a new platform of dance, bringing to the forefront dance created by artists, and recognized as a genuine French specificity.

"Mastering Presence: Bridging Mind, Soul, and Stage" Acting workshop by Mel Masry

This workshop is tailored expressly for working actors, with a focus on Method acting, voice work, breath work, personal technique development, and refining performance skills.

The workshop crafted for experienced or professional actors who are seeking to deepen their craft. It delves into advanced techniques such as Method Acting, emotional recall, and sensory realism. However, the course remains flexible enough to be beneficial even to those in the earlier stages of their careers, as it combines essential techniques with more advanced practices.

Bio:
"Mel Masry" is an award-winning actor with Master’s degrees in Acting and Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the London School of Dramatic Art. His work has been recognized by the Academy Awards and BAFTA, and he has won accolades like Cannes. He debuted at London’s historic Southwark Theatre and founded Wood House & Archer, contributing to the industry through his performances and talent coaching.
