🤝 Strengthening Academia–Industry Collaboration
The Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt (BUE) extends its sincere appreciation to Pharco Pharmaceuticals – Alexandria Branch for its generous donation of medications to the faculty.
This donation is preparing the Faculty of Pharmacy for the next Medical convoy arranged by the medical sector of the university to Alexandria.
These medications will play a valuable role in supporting the Faculty’s medical convoys and community service initiatives, helping to enhance healthcare outreach and provide essential pharmaceutical care to those in need.
We are truly grateful for this meaningful contribution and look forward to continued partnerships that enrich students’ learning experiences while making a positive impact on the community.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at The British University in Egypt proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Professor Mohamed Loutfi, President and Vice-Chancellor, The British University in Egypt, on being awarded the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in recognition of his outstanding services to education in the United Kingdom and Egypt.
This prestigious honour is a testament to Professor Loutfi’s exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication to academic excellence, and remarkable contributions to strengthening educational collaboration and fostering opportunities across borders.
It was a great privilege for Professor Loutfi to receive this distinguished honour from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, on behalf of His Majesty King Charles III—a truly memorable occasion that reflects the significance of his outstanding contributions to education and international academic cooperation.
The Faculty of Pharmacy is proud to celebrate this well-deserved achievement and wishes Professor Loutfi continued success in inspiring future generations and advancing the transformative power of education.

Applications are now open for the Summer 2026 Undergraduate Research Internship Program.📣🌟
The Drug Research & Development Group (DRD-G) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt, is pleased to launch the Summer 2026 Undergraduate Research Internship Program.
This is an opportunity for Pharmacy students to gain hands-on research experience by working alongside Faculty members on ongoing projects involving laboratory experiments, data analysis, literature reviews, and scientific writing.
The programme offers:
• 10 research projects across 8 different areas, including phytochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, analytical chemistry, and clinical pharmacy practice.
• More than 35 internship opportunities.
• Opportunities open to students across different study years (please check the eligibility requirements for each project).
• The option to apply to more than one project in order of preference.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohey Elmazar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at The British University in Egypt, and in collaboration with the university’s Medical Health Cluster led by Prof. Dr. Tarek Abbas (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Health Cluster), the Faculty of Pharmacy actively participated in a medical convoy to Al-Ghunaimiyah Village, Farskor, Damietta Governorate, on 4–5 June 2026.
The faculty provided a wide range of essential medicines and healthcare preparations to support internal medicine, orthopaedic, dental, family, and child health services. More than 7,000 medication units were dispensed to patients, reflecting the significant impact of the convoy and the high demand for its services.
The free medical convoy was inspected by Major General Dr. Tarek Bahiri, Assistant Secretary-General, in the presence of Ms. Marwa Nabil, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Damietta, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Khaleq, Director of the Health Directorate, and Mr. Mimi El-Saadawi, Head of the Local Unit of the Center and City of Farskor.
This successful initiative highlights the Faculty of Pharmacy’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and improving access to healthcare for underserved communities.

The future of Pharmacy education is being built on collaboration 🌍💊
We are proud to announce the launch of the second workshop under the “Going Global Partnerships” programme, funded by the British Council Egypt. The Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt, is collaborating with North Wales Medical School, Bangor University (UK), to shape the future of pharmacy education through transnational cooperation and innovation.
This project is led by Principal Investigators Dr. Yomna Moussa(The British University in Egypt) and Dr. Taher Hatahet (Bangor University, UK), who successfully secured this grant to drive sustainability in pharmacy teaching and practice.
The workshop brings together leading innovators in digital learning, simulation, and healthcare education, including LearnSci, Health Education and Improvement Wales, Goggleminds, and JoVE.
Designed as a collaborative hub for the MENA region, the workshop aims to foster cross-border innovation, knowledge exchange, and a shared vision for the future of pharmacy education and healthcare training. 🚀

On 22 April fourth-year Cosmetics Module students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt showcased their work at the 10th Cosmetics Exhibition after three months of preparation under the auspices of Prof. Mohey Elmazar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and under the supervision of the Cosmetics Staff Team from the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology; Dr. Rania Yehia, Associate Prof. Noha Alaa, A.L. Esraa Elshazly, A.L. Khaled Younes TA Aliaa Saied, and TA Fady Wagih.
Students transformed theoretical knowledge into innovative cosmetic products, covering formulation, branding, packaging, evaluation, and marketing under strict academic supervision and quality control.
The exhibition was honoured by the presence of Prof. Mohamed Loutfi, President and Vice Chancellor of The British University in Egypt and Prof. Tarek Abbas, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Health Cluster.
The event also reflected the faculty’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility through support of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation. including the Golden Block contribution.
