This summer at Mada Sheraton & Mada Maadi, we are on a quest to bring out and instill core values in our campers.

We will shine a light to guide them to learn character building skills to develop greater self-confidence, determination, respect, leadership, and admirable traits in their personalities.

We will start by exploring inspiring traits in animals such as loyalty, persistence, courage, bravery, honesty, and even compassion. We will then be moving to prominent figures in our contemporary history, famous successful people from all over the world. We will discuss their personality and highlight the morality and traits in their character which enabled them to achieve such success.

• Age:
Mada Sheraton: 4 – 6 years
Mada Maadi: 4 – 6 years & 6 - 9 years

• Duration:
Mada Maadi: June 12th – September 1st
Mada Heliopolis: June 26th – September 1st

*Note that starting from June 12th until June 26th, a bus will be available daily at Mada Heliopolis branch to take Heliopolis campers to Mada Maadi Camp and bring them back to Mada Heliopolis.

Ten-year-old discovers 'new molecule' while tinkering with educational model Clara Lazen of Kansas City was piecing together over-sized atoms from a model kit in her Border Star Montessori School classroom when she composed something her teacher had never seen before.

The checker board is a Montessori elementary (6-12) Math material used to do long multiplication of numbers into the 100’s of millions.
It is part of a progression of math materials that enables the student to experience the process of multiplication using coloured beads and a painted board.
The Montessori student does not learn about multiplication as an abstraction; but knows why you ‘add the zero’, why you ‘carry the 10’ and what the multiplier, multiplicand and partial product actually are.

Dr. Montessori believed that concentration and focused work lead the child to a psychologically healthy state she called “normalization”— meaning a completely transformed…calmer, more intelligent,
and more expansive”, bringing out “extraordinary spiritual qualities”.

The event that brought her to this realization is:
A child was so deeply engrossed in her work (placing 10 graduated cylinders in their correct holes) that her chair was lifted up in the air, and the other children danced and sang around her without breaking her concentration.
