BISC PE and Sport

The BISC U11 team proudly represented our School at the recent BSME Games, hosted by South View School in Dubai. Over five days, our young athletes displayed incredible enthusiasm, skill and resilience across four different sporting disciplines: football, swimming, netball and athletics.

Overall, BISC secured an impressive sixth-place finish. We are particularly proud of the following results:

Boys’ Football - First Place

Girls’ Football - Second Place

Basketball - Third Place

1st place - Boys javelin

2nd place - Boys 600m

1st place - Boys long jump

2nd place - 25m breast

2nd place - 25m back

These achievements demonstrate the exceptional teamwork and dedication of all participating pupils. They truly embodied the BISC team spirit throughout the competition.

Last weekend, our U13 athletes travelled to Abu Dhabi for the BSME Games.

Day 1 provided a very strong start for the team with our girls’ football team going unbeaten and securing 1st place. Our boys’ volleyball team also had a successful day by winning all their group stage games and getting into the semi-final. They narrowly missed out on the final and came 4th overall.

On day 2, our boys’ football team got off to a strong start by winning their opening game, before losing the 2/3rd play-off on penalties.The girls’ netball team had a very tough group stage with two of the teams in their group making it to the finals.

The last day was athletics, and we had some great success especially in the field events, with some of our girls winning medals in their field event and one of our boys coming second in the 200m sprint. This placed us 5th overall out of 16 schools, another successful tournament!

Well done to our U11 girls football team! They showed tremendous skill and spirit to reach the quarter finals today. Luck did not favour us as we narrowly lost on penalties. We are very proud of them! 💪🏾🙌🏽⚽️
