The word رسول appears 331/332 times in the Qur’an, and its plural رسل appears 20 times. That’s over 350 reminders in the Qur’an about the centrality of messengers in our lives. Why? Because the Qur’an constantly redirects us to the guidance brought by the messengers. They were not just historical figures .. they were living examples of how to embody faith in the middle of real-life struggles. Each رسول carried the same mission: to call people back to Allah, to truth, to justice, and to purification of the heart. Notice something subtle: in Arabic, رسول comes from the root r-s-l (ر س ل), which means “to send.” A رسول is not acting on his own; he is someone sent by Allah, carrying a message that does not belong to him. This highlights trustworthiness, responsibility, and accountability to the One who sent him. ✨ One word at a time, the Qur’an opens itself to you. 💡 Reflection: While we are not messengers, we do carry their legacy. Every time you speak truth, stand for justice, or remind someone of Allah, you act as a small extension of their mission. So ask yourself: how can I carry the message today, in my family, my work, my circle?
