Thanks to the ongoing support, of countless numbers of individuals and organizations, as well as Municipal engineers, the main building of Townhouse will not be demolished. While Townhouse activities will be up and running from the Factory and Rawabet spaces from the coming week, we are working collaboratively with the neighbours and several cultural groups including artists/architects/historians and restorers to study the history of the building and community. The purpose being to have it accepted as a listed building in Downtown. Townhouse is taking this opportunity to reimagine its role and responsibilities as an independent cultural space at this crucial time. Once again we would like to thank you for your valuable support.

نود توجيه الشكر لكل الافراد والمؤسسات ومهندسي الحي الذين دعمونا خلال الفترة الماضية. بفضل هذا الدعم لن يتم هدم المبنى الرئيسي لتاون هاوس جاليري. في حين أن أنشطة المكان ستظل قائمة من ساحتي الفاكتوري و روابط بدايةً من الأسبوع القادم. نعمل حالياً بالتعاون مع الجيران و بعض المؤسسات الثقافية و الفنانين و المهندسين و المؤرخين لدراسة تاريخ المبنى ليتم ترميمه و ذلك لأهميته و قيمته التاريخية . سيتخذ تاون هاوس هذه الفترة كفرصة لإعادة تخيل كيانه كمساحة فنية ثقافية مستقلة. مرة أخرى نود أن نشكركم على دعمكم القيم والمستمر.

بكل أسف نعلن عن نقل جاليري تاون هاوس من المبنى الرئيسي الذي يقع في 10 شارع النبراوى إلى ساحة الفاكتوري، ويعمل فريق تاون هاوس على تجهيز المكان حاليا، ليكون متاحاً في أقرب وقت لاستضافة الجمهور . يجب أن نذكر أن جاليري تاون هاوس لم يتأثر وحده بالاحداث الأخيرة بل الحي بأكمله، وسيتم نشر تحديثات يومية عن الاوضاع . شكرا على دعمكم المستمر.

We announce with great regret that the main building located at 10 Nabrawy street is no longer inhabited by the Townhouse gallery, as it is currently under demolition.
All operations and programming will be based in the Factory space. Townhouse staff are currently in the process of setting up the space and will announce soon when it is open to the public.
It is important to remember that it is not only Townhouse that has been impacted by the events of this week, but an entire neighbourhood and its community.
There will be daily updates on the situation as it unravels. Thank you for your ongoing support.
