The American Dream Conversation club

The American Dream is a place for people who already have English skills but can't make a proper conversation when they need to. In our class, students use English in a casual setting, they also get the chance to practice many different skills in a set that is more like real life.

3 months conversation club


Phase 1 (Say it right)
In the first 4 weeks we will work on pronunciation that means to

rectify the common pronunciation mistakes by practicing vowels and how to combine them with consonants (combining sounds). The second step would be to understand the relation between parts of words (Understanding Syllables) and how to combine words together (Linking). Then students start practicing what they've learnt by reading ready made dialogues that were designed to serve this purpose and then make conversations by asking questions about the topic in hand. Phase 2 (Up to you)
In the next 4 week we will use harder dialogues that are written to discuss more complicated social and personal issues. Students then will have to use their skills to create alternative scenarios using their own vocabulary, understanding and imagination. Every week in this phase will have a case study song lyrics where students must practice the pronunciation skills they learned in phase 1. Phase 3 (It's time to shine)
In the last 4 weeks, students design their own conversations and they deal with it as they wish. Students will be given tasks to prepare twice a week to demonstrate their understanding and skills. The topics and situations will be even more intense and complicated. By the end of the course your conversation skills will ROCK!
