The number of young children books in Egyptian ammiya do not exceed 15 books.
Trust me i have been searching for them for years, like a needle in a haystack .
Most done by small independent publishers who are IN FACT moms of little kids and who actually felt the problem (Shamsena, Ossass, Tuta-Tuta ).
One of us started earlier and sadly shut shop (Shamsena). It is tough to be small and “daringly innovative” in this very connected industry on this side of the world.

كُتب الأطفال الصغار اللي بالعامية المصرية ماتتعداش ١٥ كتاب.
وصدقوني أنا دورت كأني بدور على إبرة في كوم قش.
أغلب الكتب دي نشرها ناشرين صغيرين ( توتة توتة /قصص/شمسنا) من أهمهات أطفال صغيره حسيين شخصيا بحجم المشكلة اللي بتواجه كتير منا . للأسف سوق الكتب تقليدي ومش سهل، فَبطَّلت واحدة منا.

"Stories and Storytelling: Experiences in/from Quarantine and Beyond"

ندوتنا هذا الأسبوع عن القصص وسرد القصص. انضموا إلينا يوم الجمعة في تمام الساعة الثالثة ظهراً، حيث ستحدثنا إيرين أتويل، طالبة الدكتوراة في قسم لغات وحضارات الشرق الأدنى وقسم الأنثروبولوجي هنا في جامعة شيكاغو عن هذا الموضوع الشيِّق. نحن في انتظاركم! :)
