The role of HR in personal data protection in the Age of Data and AI

On June 29, AmCham Egypt's CDC welcomed HR leaders from top organizations to the Annual CDC Breakfast, opened by Mr. Amr Hamdy, Senior Director of CDC, who spoke on the role of continuous learning and leadership in navigating today's tech-driven business landscape.

This year's session tackled a defining issue for the profession: Personal data protection. The key note speakers were:
🔹 Dr. Suzanne El Akabawy who unpacked Egypt's Personal Data Protection Framework, translating legal principles into practical compliance guidance for HR professionals.
🔹 Dr. Ashraf Abdelwahab who explored how AI is reshaping talent acquisition and workforce management, and the importance of responsible data stewardship.
