Within the Framework of the EU-Egypt Year of Science and Innovation 2012, the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Programme that lies under the Ministry of Scientific Research and is funded by the EU, is organizing for the second year in cooperation with El Sawy CultureWheel the ‘Science and Discovery Festival’ from 24 – 26 March 2012 at El Sawy CultureWheel. The three-day event is designed to communicate science in an unprecedented, interdisciplinary and unique way to spark the imagination and curiosity of children and youth and foster the creativity, innovative thinking and science literacy through Interactive Workshops, Movie Displays, Exhibitions, Puppet Show, various Scientific Shows and X-box corner. The designed programme is offered by a number of partners and professionals working in the field of science communication aiming at raising the awareness for science and promoting the culture of innovation specifically among children and young people.
في اطار العام المصري - الأوروبي للعلوم والابتكار 2012، ينظم برنامج البحوث والتنمية والابتكار التابع لوزارة البحث العلمي والممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي بالتعاون مع ساقية عبد المنعم الصاوي "مهرجان العلوم والاكتشاف" في الفترة من 24 - 26 مارس 2012 بساقية الصاوي للعام الثاني على التوالي.
يهدف "مهرجان العلوم والاكتشاف" إلى تنمية المهارات الذهنية والاجتماعية للأطفال وزيادة شغفهم بالعلوم، بالإضافة إلى تنمية روح البحث والتعلم وتقديم المعرفة بشكل ممتع وجذاب. كما يهدف المهرجان الذي يستمر لمدة ثلاثة أيام إلى توصيل العلوم بطريقة غير مسبوقة، متعددة التخصصات وفريدة من نوعها لإثارة الخيال والفضول لدى الأطفال والشباب لتشجيع الابداع والتفكير الابتكاري من خلال ورش عمل تفاعلية، عروض أفلام، معارض، مسرح العرائس، عروض علمية مختلفة وركن الإكس بوكس.
يقُدم برنامج المهرجان من خلال عدد كبير من الشركاء والمتخصصين العاملين في مجال التواصل العلمي، الذي يهدف الى زيادة الوعى بأهمية العلوم وتعزيز ثقافة الابتكار خاصة بين الأطفال والشباب.
