Tuesday, February 10 - Crescent Moon in the Scorpion’s Claws (pre-dawn)
Early risers on Tuesday morning, February 10 in the Egyptian desert can look in the southern sky before sunrise to see the pretty sight of the waning crescent moon shining near the bottom of the up-down chain of stars that mark the claws of Scorpius.
The bright reddish star Antares will twinkle off to the moon’s left (or celestial east). That red giant star, which is located 550 light-years from our sun, marks the heart of the beast. On the following morning the moon will hop east to shine to Antares’ left.

🚨 STOP SCROLLING. This is your wake-up call from the Universe. 🚨
History is happening on January 3rd, 2026. Not over a month, not over a week... but in ONE. SINGLE. NIGHT. 🤯
We are heading deep into the Fayoum Desert to witness a cosmic alignment that sounds impossible: 🌕 The First SUPERMOON of the year (Biggest & Brightest).
🪐 The giant JUPITER right next to it in a rare conjunction.
🌍 Earth at its CLOSEST point to the Sun (Perihelion).
☄️ The peak of the QUADRANTID Meteor Shower.
THIS IS IT. The night photographers dream of and stargazers wait lifetimes for.
⚠️ REALITY CHECK: Spots are extremely limited and selling fast. Do not wake up on Jan 4th regretting you missed the greatest celestial show of the decade.
👉 DM Now to secure your spot NOW. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

A Geminid meteor burning up in Earth’s atmosphere before ever reaching the ground.

🌠 Over the next several nights, bright meteors will streak across the sky as Earth passes through the debris trail of asteroid 3200 Phaethon. These meteors are fast, bold, and often colorful — which is why the Geminids are considered the strongest meteor shower of the year.
The Geminids are active from December 4-17. The true show peaks around December 13–14, when you could see 100+ meteors per hour from a dark location. But you can already spot some early fireballs if you head outside late tonight.
Just find a dark spot, let your eyes adjust, and look up.

The Sun has officially set in Barrow, Alaska — and it won’t rise again until January 22, 2026. ☀️
For the next 65+ days, this Arctic town enters its famous polar night, where darkness becomes a season and daylight won’t return until next year.
A surreal reality: while the rest of us watch sunsets each evening, Barrow won’t see another one for months.

This photo was taken back in 2016 in one of the most beautiful places in Sinai Serabit el-Khadim, the land of turquoise mines and ancient mystery.
Soon, we’ll return to Sinai and continue our journeys across its sacred landscapes.
About Serabit el-Khadim:
Serabit el-Khadim is an ancient site in South Sinai, famous for its turquoise mines that were worked by the ancient Egyptians over 4,000 years ago. It is home to the Temple of Hathor — the goddess of love, beauty, and turquoise — carved high into the desert mountains. The site also contains some of the earliest known examples of alphabetic writing, making it a place where history, spirituality, and the desert’s raw beauty meet.

🌌 Aurora Alert – Tonight’s Sky Show! 🌌
A burst of solar wind is set to ignite the skies tonight, bringing the Northern Lights across much of Canada and 12 U.S. states. ✨
🔭 These shimmering waves of green, purple, and red light are created when charged particles from the Sun collide with Earth’s magnetic shield — a cosmic dance usually reserved for the polar regions, now reaching farther south.
📍 If skies are clear where you are, look north. The best views will be far from city lights, under dark and open horizons.
⚡ Rare moments like this remind us of the Sun’s immense power — and the fragile beauty of our planet under its glow.
