Join the Arabic Calligraphy and Lettering workshop, offered by Najla Badran and the Arabic calligraphy artist Mohamed Hassan from Dar Medad at the AUC The American University in Cairo

This two-week workshop will set you on the right track toward understanding Arabic calligraphy and lettering. It will introduce you to Naskh calligraphy basics and the fundamentals of Diwani script form manipulation. Experimenting with a variety of writing tools, you will work on lettering to create a typographic poster using your favorite quote in Arabic. You will also generate a bilingual quote using your preferred Latin display typeface and developing its counterpart in Arabic typography.

مبادئ خط النسخ و مبادئ بالخط الديواني. أيضاً، بتجربة مجموعة متنوعة من أدوات الكتابة التقليدية و الغير تقليدية، ستعمل على كتابة الحروف لإنشاء ملصق مطبعي باستخدام الاقتباس المفضل لديك باللغة العربية. ستقوم أيضًا بإنشاء اقتباس أخر باللغة الانجليزية و العربية باستخدام فونت اللاتيني المفضل لديك وتطوير نظيره في الطباعة العربية.

-Copy of your report card for the past two years of school.
