Take care of your old device. Update your OS to stay secure.
Apple has pushed new security fixes, including a patch for iOS 15.8 and iPadOS 15.8. This update fixes the zero-day CVE-2023-32434. This vulnerability – discovered by Kaspersky experts – was exploited to infect devices with a dangerous spyware implant during the Operation Triangulation campaign.
The update is available for the following devices:
iPhone 6s
iPhone 7
1st generation iPhone SE
iPad Air 2
4th generation iPad mini
7th generation iPod touch
Apple has also released security updates for macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and the Safari browser.
Be sure to update your devices as soon as possible, but keep in mind that Apple recommends backing up devices before installing updates.
