Our Weekly Sports Day

Sport is quite beneficial for children. The enhancement of physical and mental development of children is certainly the most important contribution of sports, but the list of values your child may learn and acquire through sports does not end here. Other positive aspects are numerous, which reveals the true beauty of sport. By playing sports children develop physical skills, exercise, make new friends, have fun, learn to be a team member, learn about play fair, improve self-esteem, etc.

Since we believe that funfairs are a source for our children to socialize with other children or people, we went on a trip to Boo Boo Funfair. It was such an amazing day where children participated in a variety of activities and had a lot of fun.
International Preschool

Having your child take some time away is an effective way to handle anger in children -- as long as it's presented in a way that's helpful rather than harmful. However, one technique we like to use in Zohayrat is a calm-down corner, or a small area with comforting objects where the child can go to take a break or calm down.The point is to help them regain control over their feelings, not to give them the impression that they're in time-out. It's important that this area be used as a calming tool and not a punishment.
