Film students’ projects were evaluated in the presence of Swedish director Sofia Norlin, alongside a distinguished jury panel including the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty, as well as key academic representatives.

The evaluation followed professional standards, with two students selected for further assessment—marking a significant step in their academic and creative journey.

Filmmaking

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport welcomed Swedish director Sofia Norlin from Stockholm University of Film & Arts for an inspiring directing workshop with Film students.

From visual storytelling to scene building and working with actors, students got hands-on experience and direct insight from an international filmmaker.

As part of its commitment to fostering creative excellence, the Faculty of Arts & Design hosted a hands-on workshop titled Fundamentals of Arabic Typography on April 9.

Led by designer Abdelghani Shoair, founder of Shoair Studio & Shoair School, the session provided students with a rich, interactive learning experience, strengthening their understanding of Arabic type design through practical exploration.

The workshop reflects the faculty’s continuous dedication to offering industry-relevant experiences that bridge academic learning with professional practice.

قامت كلية الفنون والتصميم بالأكاديمية العربية بتنظيم ندوة تعريفية بالتعاون مع شركة Modern Bakers المالكة للعلامة التجارية Rich Bake, يوم الثلاثاء الموافق ٧ أبريل.

هدفت الندوة إلى التعريف بمنتجات الشركة، واستعراض مجالات التعاون مع طلاب قسم الجرافيك، حيث تم توضيح طبيعة المشروعات المطلوبة والتي تركز على تطوير الهوية البصرية (Corporate Identity)، إلى جانب مشروعات في مجالات الـSoftware Technology، والتصميم الصناعي (Industrial Design)، وتصميمات التغليف (Packaging).

كما تناولت الندوة عددًا من التطبيقات العملية المرتبطة بالعلامة التجارية، مثل تصميم الحملات الإعلانية، ومواد الدعاية المختلفة، بما يشمل (Flyers، Layouts، Branding، Market Branding)، بالإضافة إلى تصميمات Outdoor الخاصة بـ Rich Bake، مثل الأعلام (Flags)، واللافتات (Banners)، والخلفيات (Backdrops)، وتصميمات السيارات الدعائية (Fleet Trucks).

وتأتي هذه الندوة في إطار حرص الأكاديمية على ربط الجانب الأكاديمي بالتطبيق العملي، وتنمية مهارات الطلاب بما يتماشى مع متطلبات سوق العمل.
