Ik trok naar Antwerpen om een bezoek te brengen aan een levende bibliotheek inzake de geschiedenis van de Rif-oorlog en Emir Abd al-Krim al-Khattabi. Niemand minder dan Yassin Akouh de auteur van het boek 'Koloniale Vloek'.

We hebben samen een zeer interessante tweedelige podcast opgenomen. Het eerste deel zal aankomend weekend op Youtube verschijnen.

What is one of the most beautiful things you can leave behind for current and future generations? A book. That’s why I have worked intensively for almost two years to make this dream come true.

‘Koloniale Vloek’ will be available from Friday, February 14th. It discusses the relationship between the Moroccan state and the Rif, from the pre-colonial era to the present day.

For the research, I delved into the archives. The fact that these archives are spread across different continents made the writing process no easier. But with a lot of patience, trust in God, and sleepless nights, I succeeded.
