﷽‎ Well, here is the new moon (Arabic “hilal”, neomenia) begins to grow 🌒 . Today it is visible at 1️⃣%, this is a new month.

Brothers and sisters, Ramadan is over. Happy Eid al-Fitr to all of you 🎉

May the Almighty accept all your worship 🤲🏼, all your prayers, all your requests for His forgiveness that you have made this Ramadan 🌙.

Let this Ramadan be the starting point 📍 📈 for your positive changes in our beautiful religion. May your efforts continue throughout the year, not just in Ramadan.

Be an ummah 🤝🏼 Unite. And do not swear, do not insult each other, do not keep evil and hatred in your heart, forgive easily, do not condemn if you see a mistake.

This life for us is a temporary stay, we are "passing through" here, we are strangers here ⛺. On this earth, we are just guests, so we are so uncomfortable here. And our true home is Paradise ❗ It was there that the Almighty originally settled Adam and his wife, it was their home. So, this is our HOME 🏡.

Let's live in such a way that we deserve to come home 🧳.

As the authentic hadeeth says:

“Be in this world (such) as if you were a stranger or a traveler.

If you live until the evening, then do not wait (that you will live and) until the morning ⌛,

and if you live until the morning, then do not wait (that you will live and) until the evening ⌛,

and take from your health (what is useful) for your illness,

and from your life has (what is useful) for your death.»

The month of Ramadan comes as a time of generosity 💸 and mercy 💓, in which the faithful compete among themselves in the manifestation of these qualities.

Ibn ‘Abbas said:

“The Prophet (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people,

and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him.

Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur'an with him.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then used to be more generous than the fast wind."

A strong hadith from the collections of Imam al-Bukhari 6 and Muslim 2308.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When Ramadan 🌙 begins,

the gates of Paradise are opened

and the gates of Hell are closed,

and the devils (Maarid*) are put in chains ⛓”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (3277) and Muslim (1079).

In this hadith, there is an indication that NOT ALL shaitans are chained in Ramadan, but only maarid from among them, as Imam Ibn Khuzayma pointed out in his Sahih 3/188.

* The Maarid (singular مَارِد, plural مَرَدَة) are shaitans from among the jinn who have superpowers.

❗IMPORTANT: brothers and sisters, you only need to be afraid of Allah! And no one else.

As the Almighty says in the Qur'an: "Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak!" Sura 4, verse 76.

Authentic strong hadith. Your task is to dwell on it ⛔ and reflect 💭. Just stop for more than 5 seconds and think.

It was narrated from the words of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“If a person does not stop lying and acting in a lie, Allah will not need * that he refuses his food and drink”

(from the collection of Imam Al-Bukhari)

*From this hadith it follows that if a fasting person does not stop committing sins, lying and swearing, then Allah does not pay attention to a person’s refusal to eat, drink and intimacy with his wife. In such a case, Allah will not accept the fast of a person.

These nights 🌌 of Ramadan we are looking for the Night of Al-Qadr (the Night of Power / Predestination), we want to catch it and that is why we strengthen our worship 🛐 more than other nights. After all, the reward in it has been increased many times ♾ (see the previous post). But how to find it

The answer is very simple - there's no way. No one knows exactly in which night of Ramadan it comes.

Regarding the exact date of the Night of al-Qadr, there are many opinions among scholars, but they all unanimously agreed that this is one of the 1️⃣0️⃣ last nights of Ramadan.

Based on various hadiths, scholars say that:

🌟 it is most likely on one of the odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night).

“Look forward to the coming of the Night of Qadr on one of the last ten odd nights of Ramadan” (authentic hadith from the collections of al-Bukhari (2017) and Muslim (1169))

🌟 it can also be on even nights of the last decade (22nd, 24th, 26th, 28th or 30th night), if the month turns out to be 30 days, not 29 days, and start counting from the end of the month, from the 30th night (then even nights will become odd).

🌟 it may be more likely on the 27th night of Ramadan (amongst all the odd ones). Other scholars put focus on other nights.

🌟 it changes every year (i.e. in different years it comes at different times of the last third)

🌟 its signs can be the following phenomena: the sun ☀️ in the morning after this night rises without rays / the moon looks like half a dish 🌗 / there are no shooting stars 🌠 / the night is quiet and calm, neither cold nor hot, etc.

All these arguments only confirm the secrecy of this special night, so that ALL the last 10 nights of Ramadan we worship most diligently. The Prophet ﷺ himself increased his worship on each of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, WITHOUT EXCEPTION☝🏼

“When the last 10 days of Ramadan came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spent the nights in prayer, woke up his family members and showed special zeal in worship” (al-Bukhari (2024), Muslim (1174))

And Allah knows best.

The Almighty says in Sura 97 (chapter) "Al-Qadr", in verse 3:

"The Night of Decree is better than 1000 months."

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

Carefully ☝🏼, He doesn't say "equal to 1000 months" (~83 years), but "BETTER". That is why we do not know how BETTER or MORE it can be. It can be a million months, 50,000, up infinity ♾.

Use every second for deeds of worship❗ It has so many rewards!

By the way "worship" in Islam is not only prayers and reading the Quran. Even a kind smile 🙂 to another person is sadaqah (charity). According to an authentic hadith from the collection of Imam at-Tirmidhi:

"Your smile in the face of your brother (in faith) is alms/sadaqah/..." for you.

P.S: God is always fair! And your reward cannot be less if your night is shorter than elsewhere. This is not about location, but about the quality of your worship.

﷽‎ Time to increase your worship❗

According to the Islamic 🌖 calendar night time starts from the Maghreb prayer, from sunset 🌇. Not from midnight (🕛 00:00), as in the Gregorian calendar.

Then the 21st night of Ramadan will begin today, April 21, 2022, THU (on the 20th day of Ramadan) after sunset.

Scholars say: “The last 10 nights of Ramadan begin on the night before the 21st day (i.e. from the 21st night), regardless of whether Ramadan is 29 or 30 days” (islamqa.info).

Because the Prophet ﷺ performed I‘tika‌f (اعتكاف‎ - inseparable stay / solitude in mosque 🕌 for diligent worship) almost every year before the sunset of this 21st night and until the end of Ramadan.

We see that the scientists count from the 1st odd night of the last decade of Ramadan. And our focus will be on all other odd nights: the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th night.

It is in them that we are looking for the Night of Predestination (Laylatul-qadr لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْر‎). This is the very night when the very first lines of the Quran descended to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

"Look forward to the Night of Destiny on one of the last 10 odd nights of Ramadan." (an authentic hadith from the collections of al-Bukhari (2017) and Muslim (1169))

Mark these days in your calendar 🖍 and get ready today. Any of them can be the Night of Destiny:

1⃣st odd night of the last decades of Ramadan (21st night) - from the Maghreb on April 21 (Thu) to Fajr on April 22 (Fri).

2⃣nd odd night of the last decade of Ramadan (23rd night) - from the Maghreb on April 23 (Sat) to Fajr on April 24 (Sun)

3️⃣rd odd night of the last decade of Ramadan (25th night) - from the Maghreb on April 25 (Mon) to Fajr on April 26 (Tue)

4⃣th odd night of the last decade of Ramadan (27th night) - from the Maghreb on April 27 (Wed) to Fajr on April 28 (Thu).

5⃣th odd night of the last decade of Ramadan (29th night) - from the Maghreb on April 29 (Fri) to Fajr on April 30 (Sat)

The wisdom that the exact date of the Night of Destiny is not known - perhaps that we diligently worship all the last 10 nights, and not rely on worship only on this night.
