My daughter grew up in the era of electronics. Every thing around here was done, made or created by electronics. She thought or to be exact she believed that electronic devices are an essential thing in our daily life. I did not like the idea of her growing up in-front of the Youtube and the tablet. I wanted her to grow up like we used to when we were kids, doing outdoor activities, puzzles, coloring and things that a child would enjoy doing at his young age. So I started to search as quickly as I can for places that can provide all of that for her as I didn’t want her to waste any meaningless minute on the tablet as it would hurt her more than entertain her. Screens down, Minds up page really helped me discover new places that includes a variety of activities that Lily enjoyed. I advice every mother out there to do the same as your kid will always cherish these memories and hold them when they grow up as their most simplest and wonderful times of their life. They are too innocent to get exposed to such monsters.

Your child has never spent much time away from you besides going to school right? Don’t you think that your child has special interests that he/she wants to fulfill?

We believe that camps are beneficial for all kids. No matter what your child's interests are, camp helps children develop important social, emotional and cognitive skills. And most importantly that they create memories that last forever there. So camps are essential for children as they help to:

1. Provides Fun Screen-Free Activities
child using tablet
Kids are spending too much time in front of a screen. And unfortunately, children spend more than seven and a half hours a day in front of a screen whether on a mobile device or in front of a TV or on computer playing a video game. Too much media time reduces time spent sleeping and may have a negative impact on performance in school. Camp helps children connect to the joy of life beyond the screen. Regardless of what your child's interests are, they will learn and socially interact in a healthy real-world. Time away from the screen is vital to a child's brain, body, spirit and future, and could benefit us all.

2. Develops Lifelong Skills
Children there, participate in a variety of group activities so thebchild learns how to work on a team, communicate with other children and solve problems on their own. He/ She will also know how to develop leadership skills,

3. Promotes Independence
At camp, children experience time away from a parent. This independent time is important in helping children develop a sense of identity. Kids learn to become more self-reliant as they explore their interests and discover their strengths and weaknesses. They learn to hear their inner voice and not only their parents. so raising an independent child means teaching responsibility, encouraging exploration and providing a safe environment for the child.

4. Teaches Teamwork
A camp program will engage your child in activities that require teamwork. Knowing how to work in a team is a useful skill for life as it helps develop communication skills, emotional intelligence and leadership skills.

So that’s why we got you “Kids Games Camp” for your kids to enjoy and teachđŸ‘‡đŸ».

You know why you collect all of your child’s art projects in a folder or shoebox to save for years to come, they’re precious to you because your child made them. When creating an arts and crafts project, children are able to:
1- Develop their fine motor skills, handling safety scissors to cut straight lines, filling in a set section in a coloring book, even properly drawing a circle are great ways for your child to master control of their motor skills.
2-Literacy, early child literacy skills in art and crafts cover a wide range of areas from speaking and reading to listening and understanding. When kids make art or crafts they get to talk about their work which develops their communication skills.
3- Math concepts improve child development in math through art and crafts. Math skills are used frequently and have a positive effect of developing mathematical skills in preschool children as kids get to learn about and recognize different shapes, count and sort out their art supplies and even measure out lengths and sizes of art materials.
4- Self-Esteem, as art and craft activities give kids a sense of achievement and allow them to take pride in their work which builds confidence. Making art is great and it's a safe way to discover that it’s okay to make mistakes and that getting things ‘wrong’ can lead you to a whole new idea. Kids get to try new things and also develop their “self-regulation skills."
5- Quality time / Parent Bonding, kids just love to spend time with their parents and what better way than to do arts and crafts together! You get to spend quality time bonding with your kids and at the same time, you are creating lifelong memories to cherish. While you are crafting together you get to talk about what you are making and discuss different ideas and subject matters. You can talk about what you think, feel and care about. And as an even added bonus, your child isn’t using technology or looking at a screen!

"Adham has always been the hyper active kid, he’s always running, jumping up and down and likes competition but when quarantine happened and we were forced to stay inside for three or four months he started to lose his energy. He was staying at home every day and I wanted to help him by offering activities that could be done at home and would consume him. At first it was all great and working for the both of us he was happy to be doing such activities like crafts, coloring, puzzles and I was happy because I had figured out a way for him not to be bored at home. But of course after a couple of weeks he started to lose the spark he had in the beginning so I left him to see what was the alternative he had in his mind. It was the damn thing that’s called YouTube. He started it a bit by bit, at first it was just when he was having breakfast then it extended to lunch too, until it reached to dinner as well! The TV was only for him and no one else, like it’s his territory and whoever comes near it would be dead. I was hopeless and still forced to leave him because of quarantine, all I had was hope that time shall pass sooner or later and he would return back to me as the hyper little Adhoumi I love. And thank God, it did! I was so happy and excited even more than him that finally we can go out again and return back to our old habits of activities and entertaining places that’s useful for him and for his mind/skills. Screens down, Minds up had the answers to all my prayers. I wanted to try different places and so did he. Their page was so interesting and full of warmth and coziness, I reached out to them and they sure did help me and guided me to all the right places that my kid would enjoy his time there. My little Adhomui was back with all of his excitement and adrenaline for games and crafts, and that’s all what I wanted. Screens really are the worst thing to give to a child and I would advise every parent to please save their kid’s innocence and childhood years and not ruin it with such harmful electronic devices".

“My daughter used to spend most of her time on the Internet and my mobile phone, it was turning more into an addiction day by day. ‏I used to leave her because I was so busy with my work life and the house chores. She was always on the YouTube, just sits on the couch and watch videos mostly about people or toys through her entire day. I noticed that sometimes she would just sit there and watch for more than 3 hours and she wouldn’t mind, wouldn’t even move a single muscle. Some times she forgets to drink water because she is so focused on the TV. I couldn’t bare the situation anymore as I trusted that i’m hurting her physically and mentally. She started to lose focus, be more lazy and not wanting to do anything but to sit and hold the phone. When i started to limit the number of hours she spends on the phone. She found an alternative and started to open YouTube and Netflix from the smart TV. It was intolerable! I decided to give her tasks to do in her day like cleaning her room or organizing her wardrobe. Sometimes I would print activity sheets from the internet and make her solve them. But when she started to get bored from all this, i googled places that are fun for kids, screens down, minds up page popped up in-front of me and it had all my answers! I found tips and tricks about how to make Aida more closer to me, and what can I do in order to make her forget about the phone/tv, it was a very helpful page. I went to My Town, one of the places that they recommended and Aida had a blast! I’m so glad that now, my daughter has found a new way to entertain herself, rather than those monsters that are called phones”.
