*أعمال يوم عرفة*
*Deeds for the Day of ʿArafah*

من صلاة الظهر إلى المغرب دعاء وذكر فقط كما فعل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
From Ṣalāt aẓ-Ẓuhr until sunset, focus only on duʿāʾ and dhikr, just as the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) did.

- الصوم
Fasting

- تفطير الصائمين
Feeding fasting people

- الجلوس للذكر من بعد صلاة الفجر إلى شروق الشمس ثم صلاة الضحى
Sitting for dhikr after Ṣalāt al-Fajr until after sunrise, then praying Ṣalāt aḍ-Ḍuḥā

- الصدقة
Voluntary charity

- قراءة سورة الكهف يوم الجمعة
Reciting Sūrat al-Kahf during the day of Friday

- الصلاة على النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يوم الجمعة
Sending ṣalawāt upon the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) during the day of Friday

*Supplications:*

عَنِ ابْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:
خَيْرُ الدُّعَاءِ دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ، وَخَيْرُ مَا قُلْتُ أَنَا وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ قَبْلِي:

It is related on the authority of Ibn ʿAmr that the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) said,
“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of ʿArafah. And the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is:

*لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ،*
*لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ*

‘There is no [true] god except Allah, Alone, without partner.
His is the Dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is, over all things, Ever Able.

(_Lā ʾilāha ʾillallāh, waḥdahu, lā sharīka lah._
_Lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.)_’”

(وحسنه الألباني في "صحيح الترمذي")
(And Shaykh al-Albānī has declared this ḥadīth to be good, in “Saḥīḥ at-Tirmidhī”)



*💠أشياء ندعو بها ونطلبها:*
*Some things for which to supplicate and ask:*

- الجنة والاستعاذة من النار
Paradise, and seeking refuge from the Fire

- التوبة والمغفرة
Acceptance of our repentance, forgiveness

- الهداية والرشد
Guidance and ar-rushd (guidance, sound judgment, etc.)

- البركة في الوقت والرزق والأسرة ...
Blessings in our time, provision, family, etc.

- طلب العلم " الفهم الحفظ والعمل "
Seeking knowledge: understanding, memorization, implementation

- الإخلاص
Sincerity

- سعة الرزق
Ample provision

- السكينة والرضا والصبر
Tranquility, contentment, and patient perseverance

- حسن الخاتمة
An excellent end

- صلاح القلب
A sound heart

- سؤال الله أن يصلح ألسنتنا
Asking Allah that He rectifies our tongues

- العافية
Al-ʿāfiyah (a good state, wellness)

- الحمد والشكر
The ability to praise (Allah) and show gratitude

- تيسير حفظ القرآن الكريم وفهمه والعمل به
Facilitation of the memorization of the Noble Quran, of its understanding, and implementation

- الخشوع في الصلاة
Khushūʿ (humble devotion and submission) in ṣalāh

- حب الطاعة وكره المعصية
Loving obedience and despising disobedience (of Allah)

- حسن الخلق
Excellence in character

- الهمة
Al-himmah (determination, ambition, zeal)

- التوفيق للخير
The ability to do

'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it."
