8 Things to Teach Your Muslim Sons:

Our children are literally our investment in this world for the next, as the Prophet (sa) said: “When a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and righteous offspring who will pray for him.” (Muslim)

The world is now changing. Due to globalization, our children are now exposed to all sorts of ideas and values, many of which do not conform with our Islamic sensibilities and which desensitize them to the widespread vices in the society. In these times of trials and fitnah, we need to make sure that we inculcate in our sons the ability to think and make the correct choices. We need to raise leaders, not sheep following the herd of the latest trends.

Here are eight things that Muslim parents must teach their sons to help them emulate the perfect model of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!

1- You are the shepherd of your flock:
Prophet Muhammad (sa) said: “Everyone of you is a shepherd and he is responsible for his flock… a man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them.” (Abu Dawood; sound)

These words of our Prophet (sa) need to be etched in our sons’ memories, especially in this day and age when men are absent from their families, and the degeneration of the institution of the family in the West is being glamourized. Teach your sons that a shepherd takes care of his flock and protects them from not only hunger and thirst but also the wolves out there to get them. Our sons should be the protectors and saviours of their family and society. Explain to your sons that even though hanging out with friends, being involved in propagating Islam, and spending time at work is encouraged, this does not absolve them of the responsibility of making sure that their family comes first.

2- Do not let others discount your sense of honour as jealousy
In the name of feminism, gender equality, and the live-and-let-live banner, men have been stripped of their most important value: their ghayrah or sense of honour. Out of their fear of being stigmatized as jealous, intolerant, and backward, men have lost their innate sense of honour to protect their women, children, family, and their rights. This does not mean that we raise our sons to be jealous, over-protective, intolerant brothers and husbands; we need them to be men who are intolerant of the practices that lead their family away from the deen (religion) of Allah yet patient and wise in guiding their loved ones. Just as you teach your daughters, teach your sons too the importance of the Hijab and how it liberates the Muslim women from oppression and exploitation and not the other way round. Let your sons be the voice and the force that helps the Muslim woman walk about in her Hijab and Jilbab without the fear of being persecuted.

3- Modesty is not for women only
Do not let your sons grow up with the notion that only women need to be modest. Teach them that modesty is as much for men as it is for women and modesty being half of faith applies to all Muslims. Help them realize that looking good and sporting the latest trends is great as long as it does not lead them to feelings of superiority, imitation of the disbelievers, or extravagance. Inculcate in them a love for simplicity, for growing their beards like the Prophet (sa) advised, and a love for being clean and neat.

4- Gentleness and kindness befits a Muslim man far more than authority and harshness
Teach your sons that the more respect they give, the more they will be respected. Teach them to be good listeners, as a good leader is one who accepts good counsel and opinions of others as we see in the example of the Prophet (sa). Teach them to listen with the intent to understand, not with the intent to reply or argue. And last, but not the least, teach them early on to be caring and kind to their mother and sisters, so that they are gentle, loving husbands and fathers when they grow up.

5- A real man helps around the house
Teach your sons from a very young age to help around the house and participate in chores as much as their sisters, so that they grow up to be men like the Prophet (sa), who would mend his own shoes, wash his own clothes, and help around the house. The Prophet (sa) is the model of excellence and our sons need to be taught his Seerah (biography) in detail so that they emulate him in every manner, expecting the reward from Allah for following his footsteps.

6- Less of halal is better than more of haram
Teach your sons not to measure their success on the yardstick of this world. Inculcate in them the understanding that it is better to earn less through halaal permissible ways, than to earn more through illegal or dodgy means. Make them understand that if earning halal gives them less in this world, the recompense in the Hereafter will be beyond their wildest imaginations.

7- Choose your friends as you would choose a perfume – the best and the most fragrant
Though we need to let our children learn how to make their own relationships and function in society independently, it is the responsibility of the Muslim parent to give their children the tools to help them choose the right friends.

Prophet Muhammad (sa) said: “A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend.” (at-Tirmidhi; reliable) Teach your children to befriend those who remind them of Allah and don’t lead them to things that are against the teachings of the Prophet (sa). Explain to them the analogy of a good friend being akin to a perfume seller who leaves one with a good smell versus a bad friend who, like the blacksmith, will either burn you or leave you with a bad smell. (Muslim)

8- Be a superhero
In today’s day and age, when all one can see is an obsession for ‘comic book superheroes,’ capture your sons’ imaginations with tales of Khalid bin Walid who was more skilled than the best of the Jedi Knights; acquaint them with the powers granted to Sulayman (as) which surpassed the powers of all the comic book heroes put together; entrance them with stories of the strength of Umar’s (ra) faith which cannot be rivalled by any character of someone’s imagination. Teach your boys to look up to the prophets of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (sa), his Companions, and the righteous predecessors – the real superheroes – by telling them their stories and creating in them the urge to emulate them and follow in their footsteps.

7 Tips To Memorize Quran | How To Become A Hafiz:

1. Assign meaning and purpose to the knowledge:
This is the Book of Allah, there is no doubt in it, it is a guide for the pious. [The Noble Qur’an 2:2]

It is much easier to remember your mother’s birthday than what you wore three days ago. More is at stake when taking a final exam than when filling out a voluntary survey. Hence, only in certain situations we utilize more of our willpower to concentrate and recall information. New information is more strongly encoded when linked to already existing information.

When greater importance is placed on the value of the Qur’an for our lives, memorizing it becomes easier. The laws and precepts it lays down are the means of attaining Allah’s pleasure and paradise:

It explains our origins and the purpose of life.
It teaches on the true nature of Allah and reality.
It presents moral, spiritual, and social values as the most excellent attainments on this earth.
It employs logic and reason in order to impact our lives everyday.
The greater its purpose, relevance, and functionality in our lives, the easier the Qur’an will be to memorize.

2. Recite out loud and rehearse
And when the Qur’an is recited, give ear to it and pay heed, that you may obtain mercy [The Noble Qur’an 7:204]

A recent study from the University of Waterloo found that speaking texts aloud helps get words into long-term memory. The study tested four methods for learning written information:

Reading silently
Hearing someone else read
Listening to a recording of oneself reading
Reading aloud in real time
Results from experiments with 95 participants showed that reading information aloud to yourself resulted in the best remembering. Apparently, there is a powerful dynamic that occurs when speaking is linked with hearing.

The Qur’an was revealed in an Arabic tongue, as it states within its pages, to an unlettered Prophet (pbuh). The first codex of the Qur’an was not put together until about 20 to 30 years after Muhammad’s (pbuh) death. Its final composition, finalized by Uthman ibn Affan (ra), relied on textual fragments scattered throughout Arabia and the memories of those who memorized it in the Prophet’s (pbuh) lifetime.

In sum, the Noble Qur’an was first intended to be received as an auricular and oral, live-action experience. Memorizing, reciting, speaking the Noble Qur’an from memory prevailed as the primary mode of sharing it with others. Hence it makes sense that reading it aloud is a powerful method for memorizing its contents.

3. Utilize memory devices:
This step entails embedding information into mnemonic devices. A mnemonic device is like a cheat-code for those who struggle with memorizing a certain complicated subject, list, or concept. They use memorable phrases and facilitate the quick learning of key concepts, regardless of their subject, number, and language.

Some of these life-hacks include, but are not limited to:

Chunking: Remember larger verses in smaller chunks. For instance, dividing a longer ayat into five smaller portions.
Method of Loci: Visualize a familiar place and associate objects with it. For instance, a certain Arabic word or phrase may remind you of something else, which, as explained earlier, facilitates memory.
Flash cards: Excellent for recalling how the verse is split up. Visual learners may choose to memorize the image of the card in one’s mind in order to recall later.
Special Rhymes: Many surahs contain poetic elements. One of the more prominent of these elements is the poetic device of rhyme. Rhyming couplets and adjacent verses are much easier to memorize than, say, a passage on social law. Thankfully, many surahs have a rhythm that the reciter can follow.
Mnemonics: Ideas and concepts and lists are much easier to memorize when a rhythm is associated with it. Professional reciters of the Qur’an have preserved certain vocal fluctuations in order to give richness and variety to the recitation. Try listening to the melodies expressed by these reciters and imitate their tones.
4. Utilize colorful imagery
Allah made the human being as an industrious, curious, and creative creature. The more vivid the images in your mind, the better the memorization. I usually visualize different ayat in varying colors (I associate more somber verses with cooler colors, and more powerful ones with brighter ones). A friend memorized Surah an-Najm by visualizing the different events that make their appearance in the surah.

To each his own – everyone is different and different methods may be more useful for different individuals. Just don’t let the technique distract you from worshiping your Creator!

5. Understand the knowledge of the text
Comprehending the meaning of Allah’s words is extremely important for memorizing the Qur’an, and can facilitate the memorization process.

The Qur’an is arranged elliptically and often repeats certain key phrases, ideas, or concepts. The repetition of these key phrases and ideas should be the foundation of any Quranic recitation. That’s why Muslims are strongly encouraged to become familiar with the Arabic tongue. Repeat these easy-to-memorize portions as often as possible, until the tongue can recite them easily – even if the mind drifts away from the meaning.

Our minds can comprehend an entire sheet of information without having to read all the words verbatim. That’s because our brains fill in most of that information by predicting and recognizing common patterns in our native tongues. The same is true for the Qur’an.

So long as you know what to look for and what to expect in Allah’s Book (words and phrases having to do with tawhid, the Prophets, and the Day of Judgement, for instance) will be more easily recognizable the more we read and recite them.

6. Take a break
Taking a break (even a coffee break, short walk, or siesta) is immensely beneficial for the retention of new information. Allah wired us so our brains are constantly at work, processing information and stringing together new bits of knowledge. So rest is immensely important for cognitive activity and brain functioning.

Try interspersing your study sessions with frequent breaks, especially if you’re going for longer surahs or entire juz. Try to adhere to a daily limit and, if possible, do not go over that time limit. Resist the temptation to move on to another portion of the Qur’an when you have not yet perfectly memorized what you are working on!

7. Utilize them in prayer once you’ve got it down!
‘Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The one who recites with difficulty will be rewarded twofold: once for the recitation, and once for the hardship. But with difficulty comes ease, as Allah teaches us in the Noble Qur’an. And the ease in a difficult recitation is that, eventually, with constant practice, it will be locked into the mind and be easily recited. Even if the recitation isn’t perfect, it is the recitation that counts.

The Prophet (pbuh) once said to ibn Mas’ud: “Recite to me some Qur’ān” He replied, “O Messenger of Allāh! How can I recite it to you whilst it was revealed to you?” He said, “I love to hear it from other than me.” He said, “So I started to read from Sūrat An-Nisā until I reached the āyah that reads, ‘So how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and we bring you, O Muḥammad, against these people as a witness?’” The Prophet (pbuh), at this point, said to Ibn Masʿūd, “This is enough”. Ibn Masʿūd said, “I looked at him and he was shedding tears. [Bukhari and Muslim]

It doesn’t take much recitation to change the heart. With the recitation of the aforementioned ayah, the Honorable Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) began to weep because of its depth and beauty.

Don’t feel pressured to start big and memorize al-Baqarah or Yunus or Yusuf. There is a reward for the recitation of every letter. Start small! Every ayah revealed contains a guide for humanity and wisdom for the world, not to mention several layers of meaning that can be unravelled from it. The one who recites, regardless of the passage and its length, will receive an elevation in their rank before Allah.

15 tips on How to Make Your kids love Memorizing Quran:

1. Submerge Yourself in the Quran:
Being the parent everything starts with you. How is your relationship with the Quran? Kids don’t learn from the outside world but mirror what they see in their homes.

On the off chance that they see you getting the Quran a couple of times each day, they’ll realize there is something significant about the book. And develop an interest to look through it too. If they never under any circumstance see reciting the Quran, they will not be prone to obey you.

The initial phase in engraving affection for the Quran in your kids is to imprint it in your heart. Your energy will make them energetic. Help them to also join Kids’ Hifz classes to memorize the Quran in a motivational environment with a qualified Hafiz tutor.

Encourage your children to read. Reading can unlock the keys to a whole world of information. Parents are teachers, both by example and by conversation. -Unknown

2. Make Du’aa (supplication)
Du’a is the most powerful asset of a devotee, particularly for a parent regarding his/her youngsters. Nothing happens without the authorization of Allah, and Allah can make everything conceivable.

To make Duaa, you have to initially keep your intentions clean and recall that everything that you do or plan to do is to be consistent for the sake of Allah. Remember that as a parent, you must pay special attention to your kids and ensure they do what’s satisfying to Allah.

The Prophet once said, “There are three supplications which are answered: the supplication if the person who is wronged, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of a parent for his child”.

3. Support Them.
Take a pleasant, firm hold to represent the “Tarbiyah” of your kids as per the Islamic lessons. This will include inspiration, granting the youngster, well-mannered motivation towards learning, and memorizing Quran and your devoted contribution will encourage them. Here are a few suggestions to take on;

Build up an air of learning and sharing. Show your kid that his/her learning is excessively significant and pleasurable for you.
Make your youngster in charge of this learning venture.
Concentrate on your child’s weaknesses without discouraging him/her.
Perceive his achievements and prize them.
Help your children to join online Quran memorization classes.
Let them correct your recitation errors.
Urge them to share with you what they have realized and learned.
4. Embrace and Learn from failure.
Albeit perusing the Quran, especially in the early stages, can be precarious and your kids may feel sad and frustrated by their small advancements or mistakes. Despite this present, it’s essential to stay away from dreading disappointment. However, you can accept those failures and learn from your mistakes.

As the Prophet (saww) said: “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it”.

Understanding things is the key to memorizing and learning the Quran. If your kid is having a hard time in memorization and mispronounces or misspells a word it’s not the end of the world. Rather than being harsh towards them explain how they can do much better if they keep practicing.

Significantly, kids commit these errors to find a way to self-amendment. Don’t forget to encourage and motivate them despite their failures. Help them learn and be patient.

5. Make it Meaningful.
Keep in mind; this can be a great chance to show other significant abilities. As the Quran contains many dynamic words that kids cannot comprehend, make sure to bypass the importance of words so they acquire more than only surface comprehension.

Do not go overboard with this though as kids usually won’t grab all the information in one sitting. Take it slow and be supportive. Here are some strategies to be supportive of your kid:

Have an encouraging, open, and sincere conversion.
Build a safe atmosphere so that your child is comfortable with sharing his thoughts.
Introduce new learning styles for your child with a tutor through a good Hifz course, according to his preference.
Focus on what he’s learning not his/her performance.
Help them stay organized
Focus on their strengths.
6. Time Them.
For a serious competitive, and energizing method to improve responsiveness, include a clock while children spell out loud. You’ll see that their advancement is quickened and the exercise is substantially more fun. They will willingly take part in exercises just to race the clock and it will create healthy competition around the house.

7. The Greater Reward.
Explain to them the importance of reciting the Qur’an; also explain the benefits of Hifz and the highest ranking in Jannah. Tell them about the bounties and rewards promised in the Qur’an to the people who keep the Qur’an in their hearts. This will surely enlighten and enlist interest in the child’s mind and he will be attracted to learning the Qur’an.

The Prophet (saww) said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: Recite and rise in status, recite as you used to recite in the world, for your status will be at the last verse that you recite.” (Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi)

8. Listen and Repeat the Qur’an Frequently.
Have your kids listen and repeat the Qur’an frequently. Start before your kids come into this world. When dealing with household work, cooking, or just unwinding, play the Quran recitation. Use the Qur’an to mitigate the infants when they feel restless.

As your youngsters grow up, keep on playing the recitation of the Qur’an around them regularly at different stances one after another. It is significant for kids to be comfortable with the Qur’an as this would in the end make it simple for them to peruse and even memorize.

As the Prophet (saww) has said, “Keep on reciting the Qur’an, for, by Him in Whose Hands my life is, Qur’an runs away (is forgotten) faster than camels that are released from their tying ropes”

9. Read the Translation.
“[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.” (Surah Sad 38:29)

Other than tuning in to the Qur’an consistently, take a break and go over the translation of the ayah/surah. Try not to overburden the kids with excessive details that will only lead to confusion for you and your child. Simply reveal to them enough to catch their intrigue.

It is necessary to read the translation to understand Allah’s commands and the stories given in the Qur’an. Moreover, it will make it easier to memorize the Qur’an. This will be beneficial in the long term and will increase the bounties and return tenfold.

10. Share Stories from the Qur’an.
“We relate to you, [O Muhammad], the best of stories in what Wes has revealed to you of this Qur’an although you were, before it, among the unaware.” (Surah Yusuf 12:3)

Allah discloses to us many stories and lessons in the Qur’an, and every story accompanies a motivation. You could impart these accounts to your kids by reading kids’ books or by watching Islamic animations following the theme.

Sharing stories from the Qur’an assists youngsters with imagining the Qur’an more and builds their comprehension. The stories about Prophet Youssef are an example that would surely interest children in reciting the Qur’an.

11. Prepare Games for the Kids.
Plan exercises for the entire family and thinks of suitable games dependent on real situations from the Qur’an. An example is conducting tests and setting up various groups in their Hifz classes to play against one another in a serious yet cherishing and cheerful way.

Another example is doing exercises that expect everybody to take an interest in making research and doing innovative artwork. Here is a game that you can play with your kid:

For starters take out a random verse from the Qur’an and present it in front of your kid, ask your kid to find and name the Surah and Chapter this verse is taken from, time them throughout (start with 10 minutes and lower the limit according to your child’s competence).

12. Follow Their Lead.
Before starting a new journey, it’s essential to have strong and helpful motives behind developing oneself. With kids, it is considered critical to guarantee they know about the advantages of reciting and memorizing the Quran. Learn their learning style and how they grasp and take interest in new activities and adapt to their style. Never let them memorize Quran on their own.

This will encourage and excite them to take part in activities. Ensure that you are not forcing them to partake in any activities, instead watch and learn their way of learning and grabbing interest and develop on that. Keep in mind that you are doing this only for the blessing and approval of Allah.

Children are not things to be molded but things to be unfolded. – Jess Lair

13. Create a Routine.
Making an everyday practice for Quran remembrance is the most beneficial path to progress. Your children will be mentally prepped once they realize when to anticipate the memorization session thus you won’t need to burn through your time and exertion to persuade them to come and sit with you to recite Qur’an. Having a routine likewise implies consistency which is the foundation of your kid’s advancement.

Picking Maghrib time is perhaps the most ideal. Perform Maghrib salah along with your youngster and afterward start the ‘Hifz’. Pick a quiet, agreeable, and interruption-free corner for the meetings and afterward stick to it. this ensures discipline Remember not to keep the meetings excessively long so it ends up being tiring and exhausting for the little ones.

You will have the option to achieve your objectives just if you have set daily practice and remain steadfast to it. It is also better to get the best online hifz program for better and quicker memorization.

14. Listen to Their Favorite Reciter With Them.
To keep them in high spirits listen to their favorite Quran reciter with them there are many free videos of recitation given on platforms like YouTube etc. This will raise their morale and they will learn from the right sources without any flaws or misconceptions.

15. Praise Small Accomplishments.
Keep in mind that recognition and reward are extremely significant. You ought to praise all your kid’s triumphs, regardless of how little, to keep their inspiration high and improve their commitment and ability to learn.

Whether it be a small smile their way or an all-out treat towards your little ones even the smallest of acknowledgment will go a long way. Give them their favorite treats when they show even the slightest of progress and see their enthusiasm to participate further.

To conclude parents should keep making dua for their children and keep engaged with them throughout their growing age to mold them into good Muslims for the Ummah.

They too should engage themselves in the activities as kids will take interest in the Quran seeing and learning through their parents. This will ensure that they continue to spread Islam and the love of the Quran in our future generations.

7 MORNING ROUTINE TIPS FOR SUCCESS:

1-WAKE UP ONE HOUR BEFORE FAJR PRAYER
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) used to begin his morning routine during the 3rd part of the night. That is, he would begin before Salatul Fajr, at the time of the night prayer.

You see the 3rd part of the night for you and I can be an hour before Fajr Prayer comes in. For example, if you wake up at 4 am when Fajr prayer comes in after 5 am.

This is the best time to wake up because it’s a time of solace, a time of peace, a time that you can reflect and contemplate on life, because your mind is at the most optimum, full of energy and you are fresh and ready to begin your day.

2-MAKE THE FIRST THING YOU UTTER ALHAMDULILAH
Make the first thing that comes to your mind when you wake up, praise for Allah, because this is what the messenger of Alllah (peace and blessings be upon him) did every single morning. The very minute you wake up. The Athkar (Statement of remembrance) for waking up as it has been recorded in the Sunnah of the messenger of Allah (Peace Be upon him) is:

Alhamdulilah hilathi ahyaa’na ba’da ma amaata’na wa ilaihi annushoor

Meaning: All praise is due to Allah who has given me life, after taking it and to him is the final return.

You see, to begin your day with praising Allah is fulfilling of your purpose. Because you were created to worship Allah and gratitude is one of the best types of worship.

3-MAKE WUDU
Water wipes away all traces of sleep and refreshes and exhilarate the body. We humans are created from a large percentage of water and we require it to remain alive. It’s also the very thing that we use to purify ourselves and to refresh ourselves before we perform any act of worship. Water is one of the miracles of life, because without it, there is no life.

The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would make Wudu as soon as he would wake up because Wudu is an act of worship and a spiritual purification.

PRAY THE NIGHT PRAYER (SALAT AL-TAHAJJUD).
If you’ve noticed up until now, everything that we’ve done in the morning routine is connected to our purpose. It’s reconnecting us to our Creator. So, the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be upon him) would pray the night prayer and he would remain standing in prayer until his ankles would swell. Now I’m not saying you need to remain standing until your ankles swell, but it shows you the magnitude of standing in prayer at that moment when everyone else is asleep.

Because the Prophet of Allah (Peace Be upon him) would spend those early hours in worship in connecting to the creator of the heavens and the earth. When you begin your day with such a strong connection with Allah, even if you only pray two raka’at voluntary prayer, you will benefit more from this for the rest of your day. Because this prayer will begin your day with the most powerful connection to Allah.

4-PRAY SALAT AL FAJR
By now you are completely in an optimal spiritual state because of the morning that you’ve had up until now. The cherry on top here is the Fajr prayer because you will begin your day now as you’ve just been preparing for this moment. When you enter into your Fajr prayer, enter into it in the most focused, present state.

Use your two Raka’at Sunnah prayer as training for your mind to focus on your Creator, and to focus your thoughts. Creating a state of being present in your Salah is something that you have to practice. The mind will wonder in the Salah, and you will begin to think about worldly things, so you have to be very intentional about creating focus, creating for a state of being present.

Treat your Salah as though it’s the meeting with your Creator, so prepare for it and go into it being fully present. This is something that you will have to work at, and it won’t come easily because it is one of the greatest blessings of life. If you get your Fajr right it sets you up for your entire day.

5-MAKE DHIKR EVERY MORNING
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) would sit and remember Allah by reciting the morning of Adhkar (The remembrance of Allah). If you notice many of the the Adhkar of the morning are mostly focused around gratitude.

Gratitude is being grateful and recognising all the blessings that you currently have in your life. Don’t just say Alhamdulilah like 33 times without thinking about what you are grateful for. It’s important to think about what you are grateful for, because that will absolutely benefit you.

A lot of times, we think that gratitude is something that Allah loves, and you would be right in thinking that. However, the one that benefits from that is not Allah. You and I, we benefit from being grateful. Because when you are in a state of gratitude, you are someone who has acknowledged all the blessings in your life.

Ingratitude is a result of feelings that we have nothing in our lives to be grateful for. We become grateful when we feel as though we have been blessed with many different blessings. And the truth is, if you were to count 33 blessings every morning, 33 would not suffice for all the blessings that you could think of. Try this just for 30 days every morning. Think of 33 things that you can be grateful to Allah for. You will find that it absolutely sets you up for the most amazing morning.

6-CREATE THE PLAN FOR AN INTENTIONAL DAY
One of the things that successful Muslims practice in the early morning is to create a plan for the day. Have an intentional day.

Having an intentional day means that you know already at the beginning of the day what your day is going to look like. You’ve decided what’s important in that day. And what you should try to achieve in that day.

The things that you do in this day should align with your Greater Goals in life. Maybe your yearly goals, or monthly goals and weekly goals.

Now if you don’t have yearly goals, monthly or weekly goals. Then my advice is that you need to spend at least a weekend, or a week or 2 thinking about exactly what you intend on doing this year. And notice I say, what you intend on doing and not on intend on getting.

Often when we think about goals, we think about what we can accumulate. No! goals should be about what you will do and who you will become. And that will automatically bring into your life, all the things that you require insha’Allah.

Insha’Allah I will be discussing life planning, including weekly, monthly and annual planning strategies to get the best and most productive life possible very soon, so keep your eye out for some more articles, videos and podcast on these subjects.

7-GET STARTED FAST
Begin your day fast, without hesitation. You’ve spent the morning in contemplation and meaningful thought, so now is the time to take action and create an amazing day insha’Allah. Successful people are doers and not watchers. Don’t sit around watching other people live. Create an amazing life by doing what it takes.

You will be in an amazing mind frame by now if you have done the morning routine and connected to your purpose first thing in the day. Now you’re set to go out into the world and do amazing things insha’Allah.

Hey, look we’re all human and a morning routine like this doesn’t just happen easily for anyone. The Prophet of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) stood until his ankles would swell. That’s hard work.

So, creating such a morning doesn’t need to be painful, but it will need to be uncomfortable. Leaving the comfort of your bed will be difficult in the beginning. So, don’t just try to go 100% and do it perfectly. Instead build up to it insha’Allah, as you’re more likely to succeed.

So, I’ll leave you with one question, What’s holding you back from an amazing morning? Is it a lack of morning routine?

May Allah swt bless us all with an amazing morning.

Have a great day.
