Mulberry Tree Launches Artability: the Middle East’s First Inclusive Arts Festival | English 👇

تقوم شركة شجرة التوت، التي أسستها ديانا سعد، بتنظيم مهرجان *آرتابيليتي* بالتعاون مع ذا جريك كامبس، يومي 13 و14 يونيو. هذا المهرجان هو الأول من نوعه في الشرق الأوسط، ويهدف إلى دعم الفنانين من ذوي الإعاقة وتشجيع الفن الذي يشمل الجميع.

يركز مهرجان آرتابيليتي على جعل الفنون متاحة للجميع، خاصة الأشخاص ذوي االإحتياجات الخاصة. وسيشارك في الحدث فنانون ومنظمات وخبراء من مصر ودول أخرى مثل الولايات المتحدة، وأوروبا، وأفريقيا. يقام المهرجان بدعم من السفارة الإسبانية في مصر، ويهدف إلى تسليط الضوء على مواهب ذوي الإحتياجات الخاصة وتشجيع المجتمع على تقبّل الآخر.

ينقسم المهرجان إلى يومين، كل يوم له موضوع خاص. اليوم الأول مخصص للفنون والثقافة الشاملة، أما اليوم الثاني فيركز على السينما والمسرح. البرنامج يتضمن عروض رقص ومسرح لفنانين من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة من دول مثل إسبانيا وجنوب أفريقيا، بالإضافة إلى عروض ستاند آب كوميدي يشارك فيها فنانون مصريون وأجانب. كما سيتم عرض أفلام مميزة من ألمانيا وسويسرا تتحدث عن الاحتياجات الخاصة والهوية والتعبير عن الذات.

Mulberry Tree (MT), founded by Diana Saad, is teaming up with The GrEEK Campus to launch *Artability* — the first event of its kind in the Middle East that supports artists with disabilities and promotes inclusive art for everyone.

Taking place on June 13–14 at The GrEEK Campus in Downtown Cairo, Artability aims to make the arts more accessible and inclusive. It will bring together artists, disability advocates, NGOs, cultural organizations, and experts from Egypt and countries like the USA, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and South Africa. The event, organized with the support of the Spanish Embassy in Egypt, will shine a light on the talents of people with disabilities and push for more inclusion in the arts and culture world.

The two-day festival is divided into two themes: the first day focuses on inclusion in arts and culture, and the second on inclusion in film and drama. The program includes dance and theater shows by artists with disabilities, stand-up comedy and improv performances created by Egyptian and international performers, and film screenings that explore disability and identity. These films come from countries like Germany and Switzerland and have won awards for their powerful messages.

There will also be workshops, discussions, and networking sessions where people can learn, connect, and exchange ideas. Artability hopes to make Cairo a leading center for inclusive arts, showing that creativity has no limits.��

كما توفر لهم بيئة آمنة لهم للتعبير من خلال التعليم الفني والثقافي وفرص المشاركة الفنية. ومشاركة قصصهم من خلال التمثيل وتجارب الأداء.

ولخلفيتها في مجال التعليم والتطوير، قدمت ورش عمل لإبراز قدرات هذه الفئة، بالإضافة إلى رفع الوعي عن آداب التعامل معهم في مؤسسات القطاعين العام والخاص.

بدأت فكرة "شجرة التوت" عندما كانت تدرب مجموعة من الأشخاص ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وحكت لها فتاة تعاني من ضعف شديد في البصر تجربتها المؤلمة عندما حاولت الانضمام إلى فريق المسرح في الجامعة، لكنها تعرضت للتنمر والتمييز بسبب نظارتها السميكة.

أثرت فيها هذه القصة وذكّرتها بتحديات مشابهة واجهتها هي أيضًا عندما حاولت الدخول في هذا المجال، فأسست "شجرة التوت".

⭐ Women of Impact | Diana Saad is the founder of Mulberry Tree, a start-up promoting the inclusion of people with special needs in Egypt’s art and culture scene through education, casting, and awareness.

With a background in learning and development, she has led workshops to highlight the abilities of individuals with special needs. Inspired by a visually impaired woman’s story of exclusion from theater, she launched Mulberry Tree to create inclusive platforms where people with special needs can share their stories through performance and self-expression.
