احتفاءً بمناسبة النصف من شعبان، يعقد الجامع الأزهر الشريف، مجلسا حديثيا لقراءة كتاب" فضائل الأوقات"، للإمام الحافظ أبي بكر، وذلك بحضور؛ فضيلة أ.د أحمد معبد عبد الكريم، عضو هيئة كبار العلماء، وفضيلة أ.د مصطفى أبو عمارة،أستاذ الحديث وعلومه بكلية أصول الدين بالقاهرة، وفضيلة أ.د صبحي عبد الفتاح ربيع،أستاذ الحديث وعلومه، ووكيل كلية الدرسات الإسلامية والعربية بالقاهرة سابقا، وذلك غدا بمشيئة الله تعالى، بعد صلاة الظهر مباشرة بالظلة العثمانية بالجامع الأزهر الشريف.

Al-Azhar strongly condemns the two terrorist attacks on a mosque and a ‎gathering celebrating the Prophet’s birth anniversary in Pakistan

Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif calls for global solidarity with Pakistan in confronting ‎waves of violence and extremism after two terrorist attacks that left dozens of ‎victims

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemns the two terrorist attacks that targeted ‎innocent people in Pakistan. The first bombing targeted a gathering celebrating ‎the Prophet’s birth anniversary near a mosque in Baluchistan, southwestern ‎Pakistan, and claimed the lives of more than 50 people. And the second targeted ‎a mosque in southern Peshawar, northwestern Pakistan, during Friday prayer, ‎resulting in a death toll of at least 5 people and the injury of others, while ‎dozens are still trapped under the rubble.‎
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif confirms that these despicable terrorist attacks that targeted ‎Muslims in coincidence with the celebration of the Prophet’s birth anniversary ‎constitute a departure from all the teachings and values of Islam that declare the ‎lives of Muslims and non-Muslims inviolable. According to Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, ‎such attacks also represent a deviation from all religious and human values and ‎a form of spreading corruption on earth. Therefore, Al-Azhar stresses ‎the need for global solidarity in confronting the waves of violence and ‎extremism, and for cooperation in uprooting this black terrorism and extremist ‎thought.‎
It expresses full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in its massive ‎loss and offers sincere condolences to the government and the people, and also ‎to the families of the innocent victims. Al-Azhar thus prays to Allah Almighty to ‎shower the victims with vast mercy and forgiveness, to reassure their families ‎and loved ones, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, to assist the rescue and ‎medical teams in helping the injured, and to guard Pakistan, the Muslim nation ‎and the entire humanity against all forms of harm and evil; “Surely, to Allah we ‎belong and unto Him we shall return.”‎

Al-Azhar University comes ahead of the Egyptian public universities in the new 2024 edition of the Times Higher Education classification for the year 2024, ranking first in affirmation of its distinction and established legacy. This legacy extends for more than 1084 years of unlimited commitment in the service of knowledge, academic research and world community, at local, regional and international levels.

"Prophethood and the teachings of the prophets are an essential and indispensable necessity to achieve righteousness for individuals and their communities since they guide life on the path of truth, goodness, and justice, thus leading to happiness for people in this world and the hereafter. These teachings therefore cannot be replaced with any other laws, policies, customs, or traditions."

"Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Master Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Messenger of Humanity, and the mercy of Allah to the worlds. His message will remain a guiding beacon for humanity, illuminating the way and correcting its path whenever it strays or faces difficulties."

Under the gracious patronage of the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the Al-Azhar Mosque establishes the closing council to read the Sahih of Imam Muslim - may God have mercy on him - in the presence of the Honorable Prof. Dr. Ahmed Maabad Abdel Karim, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Dr. Subhi Abdel-Fattah Rabie, Professor of Hadith and Sciences, and the Vice-Dean of the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies in Cairo previously, and Dr. Mustafa Abu Amara, Professor of Hadith Next Sunday, God willing, at half past nine in the morning, in the Ottoman canopy.
