The BUE Auditorium was buzzing with incredible energy as we hosted a monumental combined event: World Oral Health Day, the Pediatric Dentistry Scientific Day, and our highly anticipated 2026 Graduates Celebration!
Spearheaded by the visionary Prof. Noha Kabil , Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department and Vice Dean of Internationalization, the day was packed with inspiration, competition, and community.
✨ Highlights from an Unforgettable Day:
🔹 The "Spices of Life": A truly inspiring highlight of the day was an incredible lecture by our distinguished guests, Dr. Ahmed Abou El Fettouh and Dr. Cherifa Abou El Fettouh. They shared profound wisdom on the "spices of life," guiding our newly minted graduates on how to navigate their careers and successfully advance in life after graduation!
🔹 Honoring the Pillars of Dentistry: Beyond the graduation and scientific milestones, this was a profound day of recognition. We took the stage to honor and celebrate some of the true pillars of the dental profession, recognizing their lifelong contributions and the incredible legacy they continue to build for future generations.
🔹 Student Innovation & Big Wins: Our students blew us away in the project competition! A massive congratulations to our Top 3 winners who took home exclusive giveaways generously sponsored by Runyes MEA. The energy peaked during our epic raffle, where 3 lucky students and 2 of our dedicated interns walked away with amazing Runyes prizes!
🔹 Reimagining Pediatric Dentistry: We explored the future of child-centered care with the "Where Little Smiles Feel Safe" showing the department members and clinic daily workflow, and a fun video of our department members managing children during treatment.
🔹 Celebrating the Class of 2026: Honoring our brilliant students, celebrating the successful completion of the AMR Module (in collaboration with the University of Salford/Leeds), and showcasing the outstanding winners of the Dental Ethics Awareness Competition.

Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Loutfi , President of The British University in Egypt, Prof. Tarek Abbas , Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Health Cluster, Prof. Fardos Rizk , Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Prof. Dalia Ghalwash , Vice Dean for Community Service & Enterprise, the Medical Convoys Administration successfully coordinated an impactful medical mission in Al-Ghunaimiya village, Faraskur, Damietta Governorate.
✨ Convoy Highlights & Impact:
🔹 2,985 Patients Examined: Providing vital, free healthcare across Dentistry, Internal Medicine, and Orthopedics.
🔹 250,000 EGP in Free Medications: Safely dispensed with the expert monitoring of our on-site Clinical Pharmacy team.
🔹 Advanced Dental Care: Our dental clinics were operating at full capacity, providing scaling, simple and surgical extractions, and fillings. Specialized cases requiring prosthodontics and implants were officially referred to the BUE Dental Hospital for ongoing, advanced treatment.
🔹 Community Engagement: We conducted vital health awareness sessions, distributed free toothpaste alongside the Egyptian Society of Dental Surgeons, and even hosted a puppet theater to engage and educate the children!
🌱 A Monumental Milestone for Al-Ghunaimiya:
The true success of our convoys goes beyond a single visit. After our medical teams identified a high prevalence of kidney disease in the area, the community was inspired to act. We are incredibly proud to announce that, driven by the convoy's impact, local villagers and philanthropists are now officially allocating a 1,100-square-meter plot of land to build a brand-new Dialysis Center for the village!
We extend our deepest gratitude to our organizing partners at the Meshkah Nour Foundation, Dr. Soha Khairy from the Damietta Medical Convoys Administration, and the National Council for Women in Damietta, actively represented by our very own Prof. Dalia Ghalwash.
BUE Medical Convoys: Leaving a lasting impact.
