If the Night of Decree is unknown, then the Day of Arafah is known!
And if the angels descend on the Night of Decree,
then Allah ﷻ descends, in a manner befitting His Majesty, to the lowest heaven on the Day of Arafah, boasting to the angels about His servants and freeing them from the Fire.
So strive in supplication on this day, for it is the best time for الدعاء (supplication).
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting on the Day of Arafah, I hope from Allah that it expiates the sins of the year before it and the year after it.”
And he ﷺ said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.”
And he ﷺ said: “The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of Arafah, and the best thing that I and the Prophets before me have said is: ‘There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He is over all things competent.’”

Day seven of Dhul Hijjah. The Day of Arafah is two days away. The scholars made a beautiful observation about the Islamic calendar: the ten days of Dhul Hijjah are the greatest days of the year for acts of worship, while the last ten nights of Ramadan are the greatest nights. Allah gave us two elevated windows. One for the day. One for the night. You are inside one of them right now, in its final hours. Call on Him by any of His names. With any of your needs. He is closer to you in these days than you may realize.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, not even jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even jihad in the cause of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth and returns with nothing from that.”
Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, authenticated by Al-Albani, and its أصل (original narration) is in Sahih al-Bukhari.

The more your heart is filled with the remembrance of Allah, the less space remains for the discouraged type of worry, fear, and sadness. The type that leads to spiritual depression and hopelessness.
A heart distant from Allah becomes heavy with anxiety, confusion, emptiness, and unrest. But a heart connected to Allah finds peace, guidance, and contentment.
Dhikr is healing and light for the heart.
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوب
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Surah Ar-Raad: 28).
Make the remembrance of Allah part of your daily life:
• SubhaanAllah
• Alhamdulillah
• La ilaha illa Allah
• Allahu Akbar
The dunya we live in may be unstable, but a heart attached to Allah will always remain at peace.

Always make Dua, even for the simplest matters, the ones you feel you can handle on your own. Even when life is easy and manageable, make dua.
Why? Because the one who consistently turns to Allah in ease will find their heart instinctively drawn to Him in moments of difficulty.
When you make dua in easy times, you’re not just asking for what you want, you’re building a relationship with Allah, a bond that strengthens your heart for the difficulties ahead. And when those difficulties come, you won’t just remember Allah, you’ll find Him remembering you.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
تعرّف على الله في الرخاء يعرفك في الشدّة
“Get to know Allah in times of ease, and He will know you in times of difficulty.” (Sunan At-Tirmithi, Hadith 2516)
Don’t wait for calamity to seek His help. Build your connection now, in moments of ease, so that when the tests come, you’ll be among those whom Allah aids, guides, and protects.

Cover Your Inner Faults
If you had a scar or defect on your body, you would rush to cover it. You wouldn’t walk around showing it off.
So what about the sins of the heart? They are uglier than any physical defect. They deserve even more to be hidden, between you and Allah.
Don’t expose your sins. Don’t boast about them online or in front of others. Instead, cover them, repent sincerely, and seek Allah’s forgiveness.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
كل أمتي معافى إلا المجاهرين
“All of my nation will be forgiven, except those who openly expose their sins.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
Just as you look in the mirror and fix what people can see, look into your heart and fix what only Allah sees. That’s the covering that will save you on the Day of Judgment.

5 days ago the month of Dhu al-Qi'dah began, which is one of the sacred months.
These are months greatly honored by Allah,
rewards are multiplied in them
and sins are considered greater.
Ibn Kathir, may Allah have mercy on him, said in the interpretation of the verse
"Do not wrong yourselves therein" (Quran, 9:36)
Meaning in these sacred months;
because they are more severe in sin than others.
Just as sins are multiplied in the sacred land,
the sins are also magnified in the sacred months.
Al-Qurtubi said:
"Allah has honored the four sacred months with remembrance...
and has forbidden injustice therein as an honor to them.
And injustice is forbidden at all times."
So let us beware of sins and violations during these months.
And let us increase our good deeds and acts of obedience in them. 🌙🕋🌟

The Virtue of Seeking Forgiveness
Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“Seeking forgiveness is among the greatest of good deeds, and its door is واسع (wide open). Whoever feels shortcomings in his speech, actions, state, provision, or fluctuations of the heart should hold fast to Tawḥīd and seeking forgiveness, for in them is the cure—if done with sincerity and truthfulness.
Likewise, if a servant finds shortcomings in fulfilling the rights of relatives, family, children, neighbors, and brothers, then he should turn to supplication and seeking forgiveness.”

Allah says: "Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most suitable." (Al-Isra 17:9). What is suitable for your soul and what feels easy to your nafs are often two completely different things. Ibn Kathir said the Qur'an does not just tell you what to believe. It straightens your path, corrects your character, and orients your entire life toward what you were made for.
