يفتخر مركز التميز في الطاقة الممول من قبل الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية بالاحتفاء بباحثينا من جامعتي عين شمس والمنصورة لتصنيف أبحاثهم ضمن أبرز 10 أبحاث مصرية في قطاع الطاقة لعام 2024. تهانينا لهؤلاء المبدعين الذين أسهمت خبراتهم الهندسية في نجاح مشروعنا ودعم تحقيق هدف مصر الطموح للوصول إلى 42% من الطاقة المتجددة بحلول عام 2035.
من بين المُكرَّمين في هذا الإنجاز مساعد المستشار الفني لمركز التميز في الطاقة من جامعة عين شمس، وثلاثة باحثين من برنامج الأبحاث المشترك بالتعاون مع أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة ولاية أريزونا، والفائز بمسابقة مركز التميز في الطاقة لتصميم وتصنيع التوربينات المائية.

The USAID/Egypt Center of Excellence for Energy (COE/E) proudly celebrates our researchers from جامعة عين شمس Ain Shams University and Mansoura University for being featured among the top 10 Egyptian energy research projects of 2024 in attaqa.net. Congratulations to these innovators whose dedication and expertise drive the success of our project and advance Egypt's ambitious goal of achieving 42% renewable energy by 2035.
Among the honorees are COE/E’s Assistant Technical Advisor at Ain Shams University, three researchers from the Joint Binational Research Program in collaboration with Arizona State University faculty, and the winner of COE/E’s Water Turbine Design and Manufacturing Competition.

🗞️ في الأخبار: يستضيف مركز التميز في الطاقة الممول من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية والذي تقوم بتنفيذه جامعة ولاية أريزونا، النسخة الأولى من "يوم الطاقة" في 2 فبراير 2025. يسلط الحدث الضوء على المساهمات البارزة للمركز في تطوير قطاع الطاقة في مصر، ويعرض حلول الطاقة التي طوّرها الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس من جامعة عين شمس والمنصورة وأسوان بدعم من المركز.

يجمع المؤتمر تحت سقف واحد مؤسسات التعليم العالي، ومراكز البحث العلمي، ومنظمات القطاع الخاص، والجهات الحكومية لمناقشة التحديات التي تواجه قطاع الطاقة في مصر ووضع خطط متكاملة لدعم تحقيق هدف مصر الطموح المتمثل في تلبية 42% من احتياجاتها من الطاقة من مصادر متجددة.

🗞️ IN THE NEWS: Implemented by Arizona State University, the USAID/Egypt-funded Center of Excellence for Energy will host its first Energy Day on February 2, 2025, spotlighting significant Center contributions to Egypt’s energy sector advancement and demonstrating student & faculty energy solutions supported by the Center. Higher education institutions, scientific research centers, private sector organizations, and government agencies will convene—all coming together under one roof to proactively address Egypt's energy challenges and align efforts toward its ambitious goal of fulfilling 42% of its energy needs from renewable sources.
Representatives from Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Benban Solar Developers Association, TAQA Egypt, ACWA Power, and the New and Renewable Energy Authority are among the Center’s distinguished guest speakers on Energy Day 2025.

From advanced simulations to impactful project pivots, Omar leveraged hands-on experiences and world-class education to support his team in designing wind turbine walls—scalable solutions aligned with Egypt’s renewable energy goals.

His story highlights how USAID-funded COE/E initiatives are equipping future leaders with the tools and knowledge to shape a greener, more sustainable future.

The USAID funded-Center of Excellence for Energy (COE/E) operated by Arizona State University held a press conference today to officially announce Energy Day, scheduled for February 2, 2025.

The event will highlight the COE/E’s contributions to advancing Egypt’s energy sector through showcasing faculty and student innovative solutions.

The event will serve as a platform to highlight Egypt’s advancements in renewable energy to foster dialogue on sustainable development, industry innovations and drive partnerships across academia, industry, and government.
