تعزيزاً للشراكة الأكاديمية والثقافية بين مصر والصين..🇪🇬🇨🇳

استقبلت جامعة بدر بالقاهرة سعادة السفير لياو لي تشيانغ، سفير جمهورية الصين الشعبية لدى مصر، والوفد المرافق له، بحضور الأستاذ الدكتور حسن القلا رئيس مجلس الأمناء، والأستاذ الدكتور أشرف الشيحي رئيس الجامعة، والسادة نواب رئيس الجامعة وقياداتها.

وأكدت الزيارة عمق العلاقات الأكاديمية والثقافية بين مصر والصين، حيث استعرضت الجامعة مسيرة تعاونها الممتدة مع المؤسسات التعليمية الصينية منذ عام 2015، وشراكاتها المتميزة مع أكثر من 30 جامعة صينية، إلى جانب تعاونها مع كبرى المؤسسات التكنولوجية الصينية وفي مقدمتها Huawei.

وخلال الزيارة، أشاد سعادة السفير بالدور الرائد الذي تقوم به الجامعة في دعم تعليم اللغة الصينية وتعزيز التبادل الثقافي والأكاديمي، مؤكداً دعمه لمزيد من التعاون بين جامعة بدر بالقاهرة والجامعات الصينية في مختلف المجالات.

كما التقى سعادته بطلاب وخريجي قسم اللغة الصينية بكلية اللغات والترجمة، داعياً إياهم إلى أن يكونوا جسراً للتواصل الثقافي والحضاري بين مصر والصين خلال العقود القادمة.

Strengthening the academic and cultural partnership between Egypt and China…🇪🇬🇨🇳

Badr University in Cairo (BUC) was honored to welcome H.E. Liao Liqiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Egypt, and his accompanying delegation. The visit was hosted by Prof. Dr. Hassan El Kalla, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Ashraf El Shihy, President of BUC; alongside the university’s leadership team.

The visit highlighted the deep-rooted academic and cultural ties between our two nations. BUC showcased its extensive journey of cooperation with Chinese educational institutions since 2015, featuring partnerships with over 30 Chinese universities and strategic collaborations with global technology leaders, most notably Huawei.

During the visit, Ambassador Liao praised the university’s pioneering role in advancing Chinese language education and fostering cultural exchange. He expressed his full support for expanding future collaborations across diverse academic and technical fields.

His Excellency met with students and graduates of the Chinese Language Department at the School of Linguistics and Translation. He encouraged them to serve as vital bridges for cultural and civilizational communication between Egypt and China for decades to come.

From BUC to Belfast & Dublin 🇮🇪✨

Students from Badr University’s School of Political Science and International Relations traveled to Belfast and Dublin on a transformative journey, exploring one of the world’s most recognized peacebuilding models through the lens of The Troubles and the Good Friday Agreement.

Through meetings with policymakers, former combatants, activists, civic leaders, and conflict survivors, students gained firsthand insight into conflict transformation, reconciliation, and sustainable peacebuilding.

Highlights included field visits across Belfast, academic sessions at Queen’s University Belfast with Dr. Richard English, a visit to the Irish Parliament (Oireachtas Éireann) and a meeting with Senator Mark Daly, alongside discussions with former Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and U.S. Consul General James Applegate.

Beyond academics, students built meaningful connections with young leaders from Northern Ireland, fostering dialogue and cross-cultural understanding.

Organized through The University of Central Florida (UCF) Conflict Transformation Young Leaders Program (May 17–24), led by UCF’s Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives (GPII), and coordinated by Badr University in Cairo’s Centre for Global Affairs (CGA) under Major General Dr. Mohamed El Keshky in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Salwa Thabet Mekky, the School of Political Science and International Relations Dean, this experience empowered future leaders to build alternatives to division and violence.

More than an academic journey, it was an investment in young minds who believe dialogue remains the strongest force for change.

From BUC to Belfast & Dublin 🇮🇪✨

انطلق طلاب كلية السياسة والعلاقات الدولية بجامعة بدر في القاهرة إلى بلفاست ودبلن في رحلة أكاديمية استثنائية لاستكشاف واحدة من أبرز تجارب بناء السلام في العالم من خلال فهم أحداث الصراع في أيرلندا الشمالية واتفاقية الجمعة العظيمة.

من خلال لقاءات مع صناع السياسات، والنشطاء، وقادة المجتمع المدني، وأطراف عايشت الصراع، اكتسب الطلاب فهماً أعمق لقضايا التحول من الصراع إلى السلام والمصالحة وبناء السلام المستدام.

تضمّن البرنامج زيارات ميدانية في بلفاست، وجلسات أكاديمية بجامعة كوينز بلفاست مع الدكتور ريتشارد إنجليش، وزيارة البرلمان الأيرلندي (Oireachtas Éireann) ولقاء السيناتور مارك دالي، بالإضافة إلى حوارات مع رئيس الوزراء الأيرلندي الأسبق بيرتي أهيرن والقنصل العام الأمريكي جيمس أبلغيت.

كما أتاحت التجربة للطلاب بناء علاقات مع شباب من أيرلندا الشمالية، بما عزز التفاهم الثقافي والحوار بين الثقافات.

أُقيم البرنامج ضمن مبادرةجامعة سنترال فلوريدا UCF Conflict Transformation Young Leaders Program خلال الفترة من 17 إلى 24 مايو، بقيادة UCF وبالتنسيق من جانب مركز الشؤون العالمية بجامعة بدر بالقاهرة (CGA) بقيادة اللواء الدكتور محمد الكشكي وبالتعاون مع الأستاذة الدكتورة سلوى ثابت مكي، عميدة كلية السياسة و العلاقات الدولية.

أكثر من مجرد رحلة أكاديمية، كانت هذه التجربة استثماراً في عقول شابة تؤمن بأن الحوار هو أقوى أدوات التغيير.

With great pride, we congratulate Badr University in Cairo’s Ergometer (Indoor Rowing) Team for securing third place and winning bronze medals in the 2000m relay race during the Sports Sectors Championship for Private Universities, held at the American University in Cairo.

A New Athletic Achievement by Badr University in Cairo Students

With great pride, we congratulate Tarek Yasser Ahmed Amer and Omar Amin Fawzy Amin from the School of Engineering for their outstanding performance at the Sports Sectors Championship for Private Universities, held at the American University in Cairo.

The students secured second place and the silver medal in CrossFit (Doubles), while Omar Amin Fawzy Amin also earned third place and the bronze medal in the individual CrossFit competition.
