Job Title
Research Assistant (Agriculture)

Job Purpose
The Research Assistant will support various agricultural-related research activities across different applications such as Greenhouse experiments and field investigations. Support ongoing agricultural projects through planning, designing, and implementing scientific experiments. He/ She will be answerable to the CARES manager for Agriculture.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Collect, analyze, and visualize data generated from scientific experiments under greenhouse or field projects.
2. Document, report, and present key research findings and progress during biweekly research meetings.
3. Generate high-quality scientific manuscripts through conducting research, drafting, and editing write-ups, in addition to supporting the review process.
4. Facilitate the generation of compelling research grant proposals by conducting literature reviews, generating preliminary experimental results, as well as editing documents for accuracy and clarity.
5. Perform other miscellaneous duties in support of various research activities, as the need arises.

Desired skills
· Molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extractions and PCR
· Good computer skills in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Use of any of the following statistical tools; SPSS, R, Python, or GraphPad
· Excellent command and fluency in English
· Excellent scientific writing skills
· Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
· Basic knowhow of laboratory equipment

Qualifications
Interested candidates with the following set of qualifications are encouraged to apply:
· Bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences
· A master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or Horticulture

Experience
· At least 3 years of relevant research experience is needed for this position
· Proof of research publication knowledge and experience of at least 3 scientific publications.

إجادة العمل في المكتب الفني أو بمواقع المشاريع خارج القاهرة بالمحافظات
إجادة عمل الرسومات التصميمية والتنفيذية لشبكات الري بأنواعها وحسابات الضغوط ومعدلات التدفق
إجادة البرامج الأساسية للكمبيوتر والبرامج الهندسية للري والشبكات: AutoCAD, WaterCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
معرفة بمضخات الري ومحطات الفلاتر وإمكانية الاختيار والتحديد والتشغيل
معرفة بمكونات شبكات الري بأنواعها (خراطيم، مواسير، رشاشات، فلاتر، محابس)
متابعة التطور في أنظمة الري والتسميد والزراعات المائية الحديثة
شخصية محبة للعمل ومتفانية، قادرة على العمل تحت الضغط وتحمل الظروف المختلفة

شروط التعيين:

تحديد المرتب في السيرة الذاتية (Target Salary)
فترة اختبار لمدة ثلاثة أشهر بمرتب تحدده الشركة
بعد اجتياز فترة الاختبار، يتم تنفيذ إجراءات التعاقد وتحديد المرتب النهائي
