STEM Asyut Biology Club announces the conclusion of the Assiut Biology Olympiad (ABO), which was held last week in collaboration between the STEM Asyut Biology Club and the Federal Scientific Committee at STEM Asyut. The competition provided an excellent space for scientific competition and for applying research, presentation, and critical thinking skills✨.
The competition was divided into three phases, with each stage designed to assess a different aspect of the students’ abilities:
🎗️ Phase 1 : Case Study Presentation
Each team (ranging from 1 to 4 members) delivered a presentation on a selected case study.
The judging panel included:
▫️Ms. Samia Michel and Mr. Ahmed Osama: evaluating scientific content
▫️Dr. Elham Mahmoud: evaluating design and presentation
▫️Ms. Noha Mohamed: evaluating presentation skills
In addition, the audience participated in voting for the best presentation, and the winning team received extra points in the final judgment.
🎗️ Phase 2 : Bio League
This phase included three rounds: the Open Exam, Semi-Final, and Final.
🎗️ Phase 3 : Magazine
The qualified teams submitted scientific articles across various fields. Judging focused on:
-Scientific content
-Academic writing
-Research question and validity
-Citations and sources
