Everyone's excited when we find ostraca! Over the years many Greek and Demotic ostraca have been found at Site 4. In 2025, Cristina excavated another stunning ostracon. These ostraca help us to understand the movement of people in this part of the Eastern Desert as well as how Wadi el-Hudi was provisioned.

We squeezed ourselves and all of the objects that we were studying into one room at the magazine to escape the heat as we worked!
